This year's 9-11 Memorial may be one of the saddest, most divided yet

It's the 22nd year since the tragedy of September 11, 2001, when al Qaeda committed the horrifying terrorist attack on the World Trade Center in NYC. And it may sadly be one of the most divided points yet when it comes to the issues involved. This week, it was reported that NYC's 9-11 museum is closing (also via Breitbart):
“Two-thirds of our income revenue annually comes from our earned income from admissions,” Jennifer Adams-Webb, co-founder of the museum and the CEO of the September 11th Families’ Association, told The Post. “We were completely closed for six months in 2020. We had been averaging 300,000 visitors a year … and last year we had a total of 26,000 visitors, so it completely annihilated our earned income.”

[...] “There’s no way we’re going to be able to dig out of this at this rate,” said Adams-Webb. “We need the state or the city to step in with other partners to be able to say, ‘We value you. We want to save this organization,’ but at this point, we can’t continue to dig into a hole.”

The 9/11 Tribute Museum had been a stopping point for American and international visitors along the path of visiting the Statue of Liberty before heading to the National September 11 Memorial & Museum, right where the Twin Towers once stood. But now, the galleries — visited by more than 5 million people since 2006 — will be disassembled for artifacts to be sent to the New York State Museum in Albany, which will keep the bulk of the collection.
The crime that's plagued the city ever since Bill de Blasio was mayor led to some of this, even if they don't actually say so. That said, if the museum was governed by political correctness, one must wonder if it's a severe loss this museum's closing now. If the museum's staff refused to make clear the tragedy was committed by the Religion of Peace, that's what's really sad.

While we're on the topic, here's also an old interview with Donald Trump from the times: Long before Trump became president, he was working in the area, and had employees who helped in the rescue efforts too. That's something he doesn't get enough credit for.

Update: it should be noted that Joe Biden refused to meet with 9-11 Families:
On the 22nd Anniversary of the September 11 attacks, President Joe Biden decided to snub the families of those who died in those horrific terrorist attacks by being the first American President not to attend one of the three sites. Despite this despicable action, ABC’s World News Tonight kept their viewers in the dark about Biden’s absence. While CBS Evening News and NBC Nightly News managed to mention Biden skipped the ceremonies in favor of an event in Alaska, both networks downplayed it.

Instead, ABC’s World News Tonight found time to run a story about how a Delta Airlines passenger lost their dog and subsequently found it at an Atlanta airport. [...]

No, it’s not “rare” for Biden to not pay tribute to the nearly three thousand Americans who died on 9/11, it’s unprecedented. Biden was the first President not to visit one of the three sites of the attacks.
And that's despicable, as is the news networks' refusal to take issue with his failure to visit.
