2 anti-Israeli actresses destroy their careers with their obscene rhetoric
Hollywood appears to be showing some sense in responding to how some of the most antisemitic performers are behaving, and whom they're associating with. Case in point, Susan Sarandon:
Oscar winner Susan Sarandon has been dropped by top Hollywood agency UTA after saying frightened Jews are “getting a taste of how it feels to be Muslim in America,” Page Six can reveal.After this, I'd highly prefer not to watch Sarandon's movies ever again. As noted here:
The 77-year-old actress has spent the past few weeks raging against Israel and is now under fire for her latest outburst in the wake of the October 7 attack by Hamas.
Sources say several staffers at UTA were extremely hurt by Sarandon’s comments.
A UTA spokesperson told Page Six Tuesday the agency is no longer representing Sarandon. [...]
She enraged people with her comments at a pro-Palestinian protest in NYC last week.
“There are a lot of people afraid of being Jewish at this time, and are getting a taste of what it feels like to be a Muslim in this country,” she said.
Aviva Klompas, the former director of speechwriting at the Israeli Mission to the United Nations, wrote: “When Susan Sarandon said that Jews ‘are getting a taste of what it feels like to be a Muslim in this country’ she was saying that American Jews have it coming — that we don’t deserve to live free from harassment and assault.”
Sarandon’s support for the Palestinians comes as no surprise. The actress has repeatedly affirmed her support for Gaza as the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) continues its military operations against Hamas in response to the terrorist organization’s October 7th terror attack on Israel, which took the lives of 1,200 people and wounded thousands more.Another actress who wouldn't keep her far-left mouth shut is Melissa Barrera, who's also lost roles as a result (also via Breitbart):
Melissa Barrera is no longer starring in Scream VII. The actor was dropped from the project after a series of social media posts in the wake of the Israel-Hamas War.Her career is hopefully over too. And to be sure, there's plenty more actors and actresses harboring such twisted viewpoints who shouldn't be hired in Hollywood anymore, and let's hope there careers will be put to an end as well. Then again, much of Hollywood's no longer even worth seeing as it is.
“Gaza is currently being treated like a concentration camp,” she wrote in one post on Instagram stories. “Cornering everyone together, with no where to go, no electricity no water … People have learnt nothing from our histories. And just like our histories, people are still silently watching it all happen. THIS IS GENOCIDE & ETHNIC CLEANSING.”
A spokesperson for Spyglass, the company behind the Scream franchise, issued a statement after the initial publication of this article: “Spyglass’ stance is unequivocally clear: We have zero tolerance for antisemitism or the incitement of hate in any form, including false references to genocide, ethnic cleansing, Holocaust distortion or anything that flagrantly crosses the line into hate speech.”
