Anti-Israeli group leader in NYC refuses to apologize for his repulsive behavior
The leader of one of the organizations behind the recent anti-Israel demonstrations in New York City doubled down on his call to "destroy" the State of Israel and "erase" the Jewish State "from history."This continues to be telling about modern communists in China too. A most repuslive individual indeed, this De Los Santos is. He even goes so far as to denigrate infants who fell victim to Hamas, like Kfir Bibas. Also disgusting, however, is that no legal steps are taken to prevent what can easily be considered incitement to violence. That's what TPS is doing, and New York's clearly failing to do anything about them. The same goes for many other areas in the USA, no matter their political standings. Seriously, it's hugely disappointing how the USA's legal system hasn't made any proper effort to prevent inciteful rhetoric like what's in focus here.
On Monday, a video of The People’s Forum (TPF) executive director Manolo De Los Santos speaking at an event in New York went viral due to De Los Santos' extreme and eliminationist rhetoric.
“When we finally deal that final blow to destroy Israel, when the state of Israel is finally destroyed and erased from history, that will be the single most important blow we can give to destroying capitalism and imperialism in our lifetime," De Los Santos said.
In response to this speech, Congressman Ritchie Torres (D-NY) wrote a letter to Goldman Sachs, which has signed checks for $20 million dollars to TPF, calling on the organization to cut ties with De Los Santos and TPF, the New York Post reported.
“Thousands of Israelis were massacred, maimed, mutilated, abducted, raped, and tortured at the murderous hands of Hamas,” Torres wrote, referring to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
Torres noted that Hamas "espouses the kind of genocidal ideology that The People’s Forum has been caught promoting as ‘the final blow,’ which is strikingly similar to Nazi rhetoric about a ‘final solution.'"
"The case for cutting ties speaks for itself,” he said.
On Thursday, De Los Santos refused to apologize and doubled down on his call to destroy the entire State of Israel.
"We make no apologies for calling for the destruction of an apartheid and colonial state that is actively engaging in a genocide of the Palestinian people that has already killed over 25,000," he said.
"For us, Zionism is synonymous with colonialism and racism,” he added. “These are forces with state power who are actually perpetrating a literal genocide and engaging in actual genocide denialism."
De Los Santos and TPS have ties to the Chinese Communist Party.
Update: since we're on the subject, former Miss World Linor Abargil spoke at Davos:
"On Oct. 7, we witnessed the most horrible massacres, atrocities, rape, mutilation – the worst human behavior," Abargil said at an event organized as part of the World Economic Forum in Davos. "I turned to all my colleagues and friends worldwide as well to the leading women's rights organization to expose this terrible event, certain that they will speak out and condemn this unspeakable event. And what did I discover? That there is a discriminatory approach and violence against one woman doesn't equal to violence [toward] another."I do have to wonder if she was ever invited to speak at conferences about Islamic violence, sexual or otherwise, or if she even asked to. After all, this has been going on Europe too, and even north America, for decades already. And she didn't notice? That's why she shouldn't be shocked at what's happening now.
"Their silence, apathy, and Hebrew nation shocked me to the core. They even had that docility, to ask for evidence when it was all there to see. There is no need for more proof, it's all out there to see." [...]
"Hamas established a new evil strategy: openly abusing mostly the female hostages, and also men, deleting them not in secret and not in the dark. Everything was filmed. Anyone who doesn't speak up against this is silently complicit in sexual violence against all women, not just Israeli women.
