More examples of how philanthropist Haim Saban is a bad omen for Israel
As an Israeli-American, I’m often asked which presidential candidate would be better for the US-Israel relationship and Israel’s safety and security. My answer is clear: Kamala Harris has a stellar record throughout her career, strengthening this critical alliance. That makes her the only choice in this election, and I wholeheartedly endorse and support her.Sigh. Last year, Harris complained about the "suffering" Israel was causing to Islamists in Gaza, which, as Israeli officials made clear, harmed any chance for a deal to release the Hamas' hostages. And, at one point, she indicated to the pro-Hamas side she was willing to discuss the idea of an arms embargo against Israel. And, despite ostensibly speaking out against antisemitism at universities, Harris - and Joe Biden - failed to combat the issue convincingly. I wouldn't be surprised if, had Biden been the presidential candidate by the time of the election, Saban would've backed him full force, and posted his ballot for Biden.
Here are the facts:
Since her early days as a US senator, in which the first resolution she co-sponsored sought to combat anti-Israel bias at the United Nations, Harris has demonstrated unwavering support for the US-Israel relationship and Israel’s security.
In past years, he even supported Shimon Peres, and may have provided him with funds unlawfully. Oh, and Saban even helped the UAE oppose Israeli sovereignty in Judea/Samaria. So, where does this disgraceful man get off lecturing everybody? And what does he feel now that Trump's been reelected? Of course I don't look at Trump's current record through a rose-colored lens. But something tells me there's certain mistakes Trump could or has made that Saban wouldn't have an issue with if a Democrat politician made them, so come to think of it, if Saban isn't complaining about certain matters now, it probably figures. No decent person should support Saban's businesses. But if there's anything really infuriarating, it's how for years, many conservatives refused to build up the kind of industries Saban worked in, and taught their subjects not to work in showbusiness. If they hadn't made those kind of mistakes, we'd be seeing a much better, healthier entertainment industry now.
