Canadian police investigate ex-Muslim for ripping Koran

Robert Spencer's written about the Canadian police dictating to an ex-Islamist that she's not allowed to shun her former religion:
Global News reported Sunday that “Peel Regional Police say they are investigating an incident as ‘hate-motivated’ after a woman can be seen on video at a Mississauga Islamic centre appearing to tear the pages of a Qur’an and putting the pages on cars while calling the religious text ‘Satanic.’” So apparently now it’s a crime in Canada to rip the Qur’an, and even to think ill of it.

This is not the most effective way to call attention to the exhortations to violence and hatred that are within the Qur’an. It allows the Muslims at the Dar Al-Tawheed Islamic Centre, where this incident took place, to play the role of the victim, which they are doing to the hilt in the wake of this incident, and which we have seen that Muslim spokesmen are all too eager to play — victimhood, after all, is currency in today’s society.

Still, if someone hostile to Christianity had torn pages of the New Testament and left them on car windshields at a church, would he or she be charged with a “hate crime”? I doubt it. The churchgoers might see this person as obnoxious, and a nuisance, and then they’d take the paper off their windshields and drive away. I’ve witnessed supporters of the late Tony Alamo, a preacher who believed that the Catholic Church was the source of all evil, leaving anti-Catholic leaflets on the windshields of cars parked at a Catholic church. No one was charged with a “hate crime,” and the churchgoers just shrugged it off.

Is tearing up a book a crime? Is leaving paper on someone’s car a crime? The only crime here is that the woman who did this, an ex-Muslim named Sandra Solomon, is protesting against a protected victim group that is eager to seize upon anything that it can portray as a “hate crime,” so as to buttress its claims to be victims of widespread “Islamophobia,” persecution and harassment, and thus in need of special consideration and accommodation.

So — Sandra Solomon was rude and obnoxious. She called the Qur’an a “Satanic, evil book.” She said other Islamic books were “garbage.” This is all reported in this article as if it is evidence of a crime. But is thinking negatively about the Qur’an and Islam really a crime in Canada? It may be: after the passage of the “anti-Islamophobia” motion M-103, there is no certainty that Canada guarantees the freedom of speech. But disliking the Qur’an and Islam, and tearing the Qur’an, are actually only crimes under Islamic law. Is Canada now adopting Sharia blasphemy laws? We shall see, in the way Canadian authorities treat this case.
Well they're going about this whole matter very poorly, instead of just letting it go and making clear that it's not the big absolute deal the victimologists want it to be. The Canadian police should stop what they're doing now and not impose sharia upon the subjects.

Hamas/PLO turns more of its subjects into sacrifices for jihad again

The Hamas dictatorship in Gaza incited its citizenry to attack the border section entering into Israel proper, which, you can be sure, the PLO supports as well:
IDF forces stationed near the Gaza-Israel border are shooting to deter Gazans from nearing the border fence.

The Gazan protesters are burning tires and throwing stones at the fence and at the IDF soldiers.

A total of 5,000 Gazans are currently protesting near the border, and the Gaza Health Ministry reported 20 injured.
And what was it for in part? Guess:
Speaking to thousands of Gaza protesters, Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh sent a message to US President Donald Trump.

"We will not give up on Jerusalem, we will not give up on Palestine, and there will never be a solution unless we have the right of return," he said.
As expected, it's because they refuse to accept Israel's sovereignty over Jerusalem, let alone that "palestine" was practically a Roman-coined name, not something to do with Islam.

Ultra-leftist French politician arrested for celebrating death of brave policeman

Whether or not an arrest per se is needed, what's angering in this case is that the politician in question, from Jean-Luc Melenchon's Unbowed party, would ever celebrate the murder of a hero. Breitbart London has the following:
A former French political candidate, who stood for the far-left France Insoumise party (FI), was arrested by police after celebrating the death of Lt-Col Arnaud Beltrame who died as a result of wounds he received during the Trebes terror attack.

Stéphane Poussier, who ran for the party led by ultra-left former French presidential candidate Jean-Luc Mélenchon, wrote a post on Twitter claiming that the death of Beltrame had been a great thing
, L’Express reports.

Not long after posting the tweet, Mr. Pouissier was arrested by police and could face charges of apologising for acts of terrorism and face a potential fine of €100,000 (£90,000) and up to seven years in prison.
His party members are trying to distance themselves from the disgraceful, shoddy excuse for a human being, but I just don't buy their crud, and wouldn't be shocked if the monster supports the antisemitism that's been devouring the country too. He should be made to apologize to the heroic man's family for his abominable acts, and exiled along with the jihadists from the country they're littering.

The Paris march against anti-semitism

Thousands of all backgrounds took part in the march against anti-semitism in Paris yesterday, to protest the murder of Mirielle Knoll at the hands of an Islamofascist. While it's good that people are waking up and care what's been going on, I do think it's regrettable that an imam from Drancy was allowed to attend. Yes, seriously.

Marine Le Pen and Jean-Luc Melenchon also attended, and the BBC tried to make it look like they both got the same amount of boos:
France's far-right and far-left leaders have been booed during a Paris rally after a Jewish woman was killed in what is being treated as anti-Semitic crime.

Marine Le Pen of the National Front (FN) and Jean-Luc Mélenchon of France Unbowed joined the silent march, defying wishes of Jewish groups.

The groups accuse the two parties of having anti-Semites in their ranks - a claim denied by both organisations.
From what I know, Melenchon got worse than Le Pen did. It's unfortunate in any case if she did, because all this sins of the father fall upon the child mentality is getting out of hand.

And again, they act like a renaming to the party never happened. What have they got against her party as it stands now, as opposed to the time her creepy father was in charge?

France's hate speech bans are not working

Pascal-Emmanuel Gobry makes the argument in Bloomberg why France's approach with speech laws is an utter failure:
French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe announced last week his government’s plan to “fight racism” to much fanfare. The cause is a worthy one (who can be against fighting racism?), but sadly the plan is a disaster.

The government wants to make it much easier to ban any online content deemed to be racist or to be “promoting hatred.” One might ask why the urgency when, according to the official figures, hate crimes are down 16 percent from last year. French President Emmanuel Macron clearly feels it's an issue that resonates with voters.

The problem with the flash bans on hateful speech is obvious: collateral damage to speech that should be protected in democracies, including of course speech that is hugely distasteful to many. It's exactly for this reason that the new rules go too far.

France has historically been one of the most restrictive nations when it comes to speech, after Germany. While Germany’s specific neuroses regarding its Nazi past make its extremely restrictive hate speech laws understandable, France has really never had a free speech tradition in the Anglo-American mold.
And that's surely been the problem for a long time. Worse, nobody you'd think was a realist ever tried to get the laws changed in the books to make them clearer, and establish that incitement to violence should be what's forbidden, not criticism of ideology.

Furthermore, as became clear this week when the murder of Mirielle Knoll occurred, hate crimes aren't down by a longshot. Read the rest of the article for more.

Marine Le Pen should be welcome to attend Mireille Knoll's funeral

Many politicians in France are going to show solidarity with the family of Holocaust survivor Mirielle Knoll, and Marine Le Pen wants to join; the family themselves approve:
Family members and friends gathered Wednesday to honour an 85-year-old woman who escaped the Nazis 76 years ago but was stabbed to death last week in her Paris apartment, apparently because she was Jewish.

Mireille Knoll's death has taken on national importance, reminding France of both historic anti-Semitism and its resurgence in some quarters in recent years.

French President Emmanuel Macron decried the "barbaric" views that fueled an Islamic extremist's supermarket hostage-taking last week as well as Knoll's killing. In a speech Wednesday, Macron said Knoll's attacker "murdered an innocent and vulnerable woman because she was Jewish, and in doing so profaned our sacred values and our history."

Sombre-faced guests arrived for Knoll's funeral ceremony Wednesday at the Jewish section of the cemetery in the Paris suburb of Bagneux.

Later Wednesday, silent marches are being held around the country in her honour, and to denounce racism.

Far-right French leader Marine Le Pen is insisting on attending the Paris march, despite criticism from France's leading Jewish group.

The head of the CRIF Jewish group said Le Pen's National Front and members of the far-left would not be welcome at the marches because of anti-Semitic sentiment among their members.

Le Pen tweeted Wednesday that the CRIF can't stop her from attending. She has sought to distance herself from the anti-Semitism that stained her party in the past, instead focusing anger on immigrants and Islamic extremists.

The National Front said it was maintaining its appeal to members to attend Wednesday's marches because Knoll's son Daniel said "everyone, without exception" is welcome to join.
There is a sign of weakness in this, unfortunately. Guess on what matter?
Speaking on RMC radio, Daniel Knoll said he wanted to encourage national unity and distanced himself from the CRIF's political position.

"Whether it is a Jewish mother, a black mother, a Protestant mother, a Muslim mother, they are all our mothers. They have the right to live normally, with love," he said.
Now I'm disappointed. If a Muslim mother indoctrinates her offspring, why should she be allowed join? The mother of Mohammed Merah was part and parcel of his own koranic influence, as she made clear at the related trials, and now Knoll's willing to excuse the very ideology that led to the mother's murder? That's where he's making a serious mistake, maybe even more than CRIF's opposition to the National Rally attending the memorial.

The reason Le Pen should be allowed to attend is because this way, any speech she gives can serve as what to judge her by. If Steve Bannon joins and he defends her, CRIF will be in a position where they'll have to decide whether he's friend or foe. I hope it's the former. On the other hand, the communist Unbowed party probably shouldn't be welcome, because they're more questionable than the National Rally is now (notice how the MSM continues to refer to the party by its original name? Proving they absolutely will not let go of the past, nor will they consider present issues).

More on the anti-semitic murder of the Holocaust survivor in Paris

As this Breitbart info confirms, one of two culprits in the case of the murder of a Holocaust survivor in Paris was a Muslim:
French politician Meyer Habib has claimed that one of the suspects arrested was the neighbour of the victim, a 35-year-old Muslim man who was already well-known to police. In a Facebook post, Habib wrote: “Mireille K. knew the suspect, currently in custody: a 35-Year-old Muslim neighbour, a sex offender, whom she had known since he was a child.”
And he had a sex offense record too. The police better be transparent as possible about the vital details and not lie or cover up anything, because this has become utterly offensive long ago. And the culprit should be given the death sentence for his crime.

Andrew Cuomo's unfunny joke

The NY governor made a stupid joke about Jews not dancing at a black church (Hat tip: The American Thinker):
Oy vey!

Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Sunday made fun of the “rhythm” of “our Jewish brothers and sisters” during a speech at a predominantly black church in Harlem.

Cuomo strayed onto the risky terrain of religious humor and stereotypes while thanking the congregation at Mount Neboh Baptist Church for the invitation to speak.

“I want you to know as a matter of full disclosure, I am a Catholic. Catholics basically believe the same teachings that Baptists believe,” he said. “We just do it without the rhythm. But we try. We are not as without rhythm as some of our Jewish brothers and sisters.”

Cuomo even singled out the off-beat swaying of Democratic consultant Hank Sheinkopf, a former campaign adviser who is Jewish, who was sitting in the front row wearing a yarmulke.

“I was watching Mr. Sheinkopf here in the front row moving to the music,” Cuomo said of the politico, who was ordained as an Orthodox rabbi in 2011.

“It was ugly, I’ll tell you the truth,” the governor added.

Sheinkopf — who said he was at the church because he works for its pastor, the Rev. Johnnie Green, and his Mobilizing Preachers and Communities advocacy group — thought Cuomo’s joke fell flat.

“There weren’t many people laughing, but I didn’t feel humiliated,” he told The Post.
It was still in poor taste, and Arthur Schwartz didn't like it either. This is not helpful for a state that's already suffering from enough leftism as it is.

Two subjects involving jihadism in France

First is the sad death of a policeman who'd traded himself as a hostage to save a girl in Trebes:
A French police officer who offered himself up to an Islamic extremist gunman in exchange for a hostage died of his injuries, raising the death toll in the attack to four, and the officer was honoured Saturday as a national hero of “exceptional courage and selflessness.”

Col. Arnaud Beltrame was among the first officers to respond to the attack on the supermarket in the south of France on Friday.

Beltrame, who first took his place among the elite police special forces in 2003 and served in Iraq in 2005, had organised a training session in the Aude region in December for just such a hostage situation. At the time, he armed his officers with paintball guns, according to Depeche du Midi, the local newspaper.

“We want to be as close to real conditions as possible,” he said then.

But when he went inside the supermarket on Friday, he had given up his own weapon and volunteered himself in exchange for a female hostage.

Unbeknownst to the Morocco-born captor, he left his mobile phone on so police outside could hear what was happening in the store. They stormed the building when they heard gunshots, officials said. Beltrame was fatally wounded.

His death raises the toll to four. The gunman was also killed, and 15 people were injured in the attack.

“Arnaud Beltrame died in the service of the nation to which he had already given so much,” President Emmanuel Macron said in a statement. “In giving his life to end the deadly plan of a jihadi terrorist, he fell as a hero.”
The country's now mourning his death. He was very brave to exchange his life to save an innocent girl, and it's terrible he had to lose his life.

Next, there's the horrible murder of a Holocaust survivor in Paris:
An 85-year-old French-Jewish Holocaust survivor was found dead on Friday in an incinerated apartment in Paris, according to reports.

The incident, the Le Parisien newspaper said, took place at the woman’s home on Avenue Philippe Auguste in the French capital’s 11th arrondissement.

A French-Jewish communal security organization, the National Bureau for Vigilance Against Antisemitism (BNVCA), said five fires had been set at the apartment and the victim — named as “Mireille K.” — was also stabbed 11 times.

Police are investigating the case, and suicide has been ruled out, Le Parisien reported.

The BNVCA said a suspect was being questioned by police.

The victim had reportedly filed police complaints against a local resident who had threatened to burn her.

The BNVCA called for authorities to find and bring the perpetrator to justice, and also determine whether it was an antisemitic crime, “as everything suggests.”
This is similar to the Sarah Halimi case, and the authorities failed to act properly in that case too. They're going to have to be sued for failure to prevent a crime, and a demand must be made that any officials who failed to investigate earlier be forced to resign.

Donald Trump appoints John Bolton to national security adviser

Trump's taken a very excellent step of adding politician John Bolton to his staff. Caroline Glick states why he's a good choice for his new role:
President George W. Bush appointed Bolton to serve as UN ambassador in 2005 in a recess appointment. Three moderate Republicans on the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee, Lincoln Chafee (RI), Chuck Hagel (ND), and George Voinovich (OH), signaled that they would oppose Bolton’s confirmation, blocking it.

At the time, rumors surfaced that then-Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice had quietly undercut Bolton’s confirmation in private conversations with senators. Those rumors were denied, and Rice publicly supported Bolton’s confirmation. But in 2016, Rice, along with her mentor, former secretary of state James Baker, and her deputy and successor as National Security Advisor, Stephen Hadley, openly opposed President Trump’s intention to appoint Bolton Deputy Secretary of State. At the same time, all three lobbied Trump to appoint outgoing Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.

Bolton was a vocal opponent of Rice’s nuclear diplomacy with North Korea, undertaken after Pyongyang conducted its first nuclear test in 2006. He also opposed Rice’s pursuit of diplomatic ties with Iran through negotiations in Iraq. In both cases, as events showed, Bolton’s criticisms were all in place.

Rice’s nuclear diplomacy with North Korea emboldened the regime, and enabled its continued testing of nuclear weapons and development of ballistic missiles.

In Iran’s case, Rice’s negotiations with the Iranians in 2007 and 2008 set the stage for president Barack Obama’s nuclear talks with Tehran, which led to the 2015 nuclear deal. That deal, like the 1994 Agreed Framework with North Korea, preserves, rather than dismantles, Iran’s nuclear program while providing Iran with the financial means to expand its regional power through its terrorist proxies.

On the other hand, Bolton’s actions while in office brought extraordinary benefit to US national security. For instance, as Bush’s undersecretary of state for arms control and international security, in 2003 Bolton conceptualized and launched the Proliferation Security Initiative (PSI). The purpose of the PSI was to empower nations to interdict ships suspected of carrying weapons of mass destruction, delivery systems, and related materials from states and non-state actors of proliferation concern. Originally launched with 11 state members, today the PSI has 105 state members. Its members have interdicted multiple ships suspected of transferring illicit weapons systems to other states and to non-state actors.

Like Trump, Bolton is an opponent of international treaties that bind the U.S. in a manner that may be antithetical to its national interests, and prefers bilateral agreements that are tailor-made to defend America’s national interests. Bolton was a firm opponent of the Rome Treaty, which established the International Criminal Court. He worked avidly to vacate America’s signature from the treaty. Due largely to his cogent opposition, the Bush administration decided not to submit the treaty to the Senate for ratification. Bolton concluded 100 bilateral treaties with nations committing them never to present complaints against U.S. military personnel before the tribunal.
And this is why Trump's to be congratulated for selecting a realist politician for his cabinet staff. One whom phonies like Rice, Bush and 3 aforementioned Congressmen sought to undermine because he recognized which policies were bad ones. There's a lot Bolton needs to do now to help put a stop to Iran's tyranny, and he'll hopefully be able to accomplish missions in his new job.

Haredi extremists go nuts in Bnei Brak

The Jerusalem Faction and/or their sympathizers act up again over in the Bnei Brak neighbhorhood near Tel Aviv:
At least 28 protesters from the radical haredi Jerusalem Faction were arrested during a demonstration in Bnei Brak on Thursday against the detention of a yeshiva student associated with the community.

The student in question was arrested several weeks ago and detained by military police for having failed to cooperate with the IDF in order to obtain his military service exemption.

On Wednesday, his detention was extended from 20 days to 45 days, which led the Jerusalem Faction’s rabbinical leadership, known as the Council of Sages of the Torah World, to declare fresh protests for Thursday.

Unlike in recent demonstrations, the police moved swiftly to disperse protesters blocking a central junction in Bnei Brak, and arrested at least 28 of them for various offenses, including throwing stones and disturbing the public order.

The demonstrators did, however, succeed in blocking parts of the main Jabotinsky Street in Bnei Brak for a significant period of time.

[...] When such students are arrested, the Jerusalem Faction frequently stages demonstrations against their detainment, during which more students who are absent without leave are also arrested, perpetuating the cycle.
Well it's good the police acted more responsibly this time against a movement that's basically anti-Israel and pro-terrorist. The cult overlords know Islamic jihadism is a serious threat, and they're obviously intent on undermining the war against terrorism deliberately. All hoodlums arrested should be given the demand to leave the Haredi lifestyle and the Jerusalem Faction behind, and sever all ties with the awful cult now overseen by the late Shmuel Auerbach's brother.

And this wasn't the only incident that took place. Later, in Ramat Gan:
Hundreds of Haredi men arrived at the Ramat Gan police station after a demonstration on Thursday and confronted the officers present.

The men threw rocks, sprayed officers with mace and damaged near-by cars.

In response the police arrested four protesters for disturbing the peace.

The events took place after an earlier Thursday demonstration held by Haredi protesters angered by the arrests of military draft dodgers.
This is getting all the more disturbing and dangerous, and something will have to be done put a stop to all cult overlords who're influencing this destructive behavior and damaging many minds with insular lifestyles.

Terrorist attack in two close French locations

A hostage situation with 2 people murdered took place in Trebes, France, committed by an Islamic State supporter:
At least two people were killed after a gunman claiming allegiance to the Islamic State group opened fire and took hostages at a supermarket in southwest France on Friday, security sources told AFP.

Police were negotiating with the unnamed hostage-taker who remained holed up in the Super U store in the town of Trebes after storming in at around 11.15 am (1015 GMT).

French investigators suspect the gunman is a Moroccan man who had been flagged as a potential extremist, a security source said.

A witness reported that the assailant was armed with knives, a gun and grenades and shouted “Allahu Akbar” (God is greatest) before going into the supermarket.

A source close to the probe said a Moroccan man had been identified as the hostage-taking suspect.

“Most of the Super U staff and customers managed to get away,” said a security source, who asked not to be named because he was not authorised to speak publicly.

“An officer is currently in contact with the hostage-taker.”

The source said two people had been killed according to a provisional toll, while regional police chief Jean-Valery Lettermann told AFP: “We are unfortunately expecting to discover there are more victims.”

Fifteen minutes before the supermarket incident in Trebes, a policeman was shot in the nearby town of Carcassonne while out jogging with several colleagues.

He was in a stable condition, Prime Minister Edouard Philippe said.
There was a report on TV stating that a third victim sadly succumbed to death. The area of Trebes was struck by terrorism before, and if the authorities/government are smart, they'll start doing sweep inspections to locate the hideouts and black markets these jihadists are getting their sanctuary and weapons from.

There's more on Breitbart about the case.

Update: reports say that the police have finally killed the bastard, who was in their files. If they're smart, they'll start using administrative detention to prevent crimes like these from happening again.

Nicholas Sarkozy charged with accepting money from Gaddafi

France's former president has been put under investigation and charged with taking money from Libya's former autocrat for the French election campaign, exceeding the limit usually allowed:
Former French President Nicolas Sarkozy was handed preliminary charges Wednesday over allegations he accepted millions of euros in illegal campaign funding from the late Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi.

A judicial official told The Associated Press that investigative judges overseeing the probe gave the ex-president charges of illegally funding his 2007 winning campaign, passive corruption and receiving money from Libyan embezzlement.

The person was not authorized to speak publicly about the case.

The charges came after Sarkozy was questioned for two days by anticorruption police at a station in Nanterre, northwest of the French capital. The investigation involving funding for his 2007 president campaign. Investigators are examining allegations that Gadhafi’s regime secretly gave the politician 50 million euros overall for his campaign.

The sum would be more than double the legal campaign funding limit at the time — 21 million euros. In addition, the alleged payments would violate French rules against foreign financing and requiring that the source of campaign funds be declared.
If this is so, it somehow doesn't surprise me he'd take money from a tyrant. Sarkozy did nothing to stop Islam when he was president, allowed jihadism to fester, demanded Israel surrender territory to the PLO, and even gave an award to anti-Israeli journalist Charles Enderlin, which I'm sure was no accident. He was even photographed putting his hand on a woman's breast, which is inappropriate behavior for a head of state. If Sarkozy ran for office today in the post-Harvey Weinstein era, the chances are much higher that could be used against him, and make him a far less appealing candidate than before.

The least Sarkozy could do now is apologize for the hugest errors he made in his one term, but all the same, I think his political career at this point is over, and his associations with Gaddafi were wrong too. Naturally, if he played any part in Gaddafi's overthrow without ensuring there'd be a suitable replacement and democracy/sanity could reign in Libya, then that's another grave mistake he made. So, in retrospect, nobody needs to feel too sorry to see Sarkozy get charged with felonies.

Update: here's more on the American Thinker.

Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef insulted blacks

The incompetent chief rabbi screwed up horribly again, and called blacks "monkeys" in one of his sermons (via The Daily Caller):
The Sephardic chief rabbi of Israel called black people “monkeys” during his weekly sermon on Saturday evening.

Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef was addressing Jewish legal aspects of the blessing on seeing fruit trees blossoming, during the current Hebrew month of Nissan, and, specifically, whether one should bless one tree or at least two.

In that context, he mentioned a blessing uttered upon seeing an “unusual creature,” citing the example of encountering a black person who has two white parents on the street in America.

In footage aired by the Ynet news site, Yosef could be seen referring to black people by the word “kushi,” which in modern Hebrew has pejorative connotations, and then going on to term a black person a “monkey.”
This is the latest offensive speech he's given, after calling secular women "animals" and insulting non-Jews as well. He's even drawn backlash from the ADL, unreliable movement they are, and the last thing any sensible person needs is for men like Yosef to make statements that anti-semites and such will exploit to undermine Israel. It's about time for Yosef to be removed from office, because he doesn't belong in the role, and is only demonstrating how poor his ultra-Orthodox education clearly was.

Finally, the Weinstein studio's out of business

Harvey Weinstein's crummy movie studio has finally filed for bankruptcy:
The Weinstein Co. filed for bankruptcy protection on Monday with a buyout offer in hand from a private equity firm, the latest twist in its efforts to survive the sexual misconduct scandal that brought down co-founder Harvey Weinstein, shook Hollywood and triggered a movement that spread out to convulse other industries.
Here's the most interesting part:
The company also announced it was releasing any victims of or witnesses to Weinstein’s alleged misconduct from non-disclosure agreements preventing them from speaking out. That step had long been sought by New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, who filed a lawsuit against the company last month on behalf of its employees.

“Since October, it has been reported that Harvey Weinstein used non-disclosure agreements as a secret weapon to silence his accusers. Effective immediately, those ‘agreements’ end,” the company said in a statement. “No one should be afraid to speak out or coerced to stay quiet.”
I hope they are free of the NDA requirements, and be able to speak out against him more freely for a change. As for the studio itself, it won't be missed, regardless of the merit the individual films may have. Weinstein himself was hardly worth it.

Teenage convert to Islam in Florida stabs boy to death, MSM ignores

Newsbusters (via the Jawa Report) spoke about the horrific case of a jihadist murder at a Florida house by a teenage convert to Islam, and most of the press deliberately ignored it:
News broke on March 13 that a Florida teen had been arrested, after stabbing to death his friend and attempting to kill his friend’s mother and another peer at a sleepover. The suspect confessed afterwards that he had recently converted to Islam and his beliefs motivated him to murder.

While the horrific violent act was covered by local news in Jupiter, Florida, and nationally March 14 by Fox News Channel, the big three networks have ignored the story thus far.

Florida’s The Palm Beach Post reported March 13 that “a Jupiter teen said his Muslim faith led him to fatally stab a boy on his 13th birthday and injure two others at a sleepover Sunday night.”
From what I read that was available about the case, the police were already investigating the teen for other crimes, yet apparently failed to take any steps to prevent him from running around loose, and now, somebody's life was lost. There has to be a lesson learned here, that if the individual in question is adhering to Islam, all concerned should stay away from him. And the MSM are an utter disgrace for ignoring this serious horror.

Father of 4 murdered by an Islamofascist at Jerusalem's Old City

An Islamofascist infiltrated Jerusalem and murdered a security guard while he was off duty at the Old City:
An Israeli civilian guard stabbed by a Palestinian assailant in Jerusalem has died of his wounds.

Adiel Kolman, 32, a father of four from the West Bank settlement of Kochav Hashachar, succumbed to his injuries on Sunday night in the hospital. He was a civilian security guard but was unarmed and not on the job when he was stabbed several times in his upper body that afternoon in the Old City.

Kolman had worked in the archaeological digs at the City of David for the past five years, according to The Times of Israel.

The stabber, who was first identified as a Turkish national visiting Israel, was later identified as Abd al-Rahman Bani Fadel, 28, a Palestinian man from a northern West Bank village near Nablus. He was shot and killed at the scene by an Israel Police officer.
How much longer are these monsters going to be allowed entry permits, as he had, to supposedly find work? There was even a car ramming attack that occurred:
Two Israeli soldiers were killed and two others injured after a Palestinian drove his vehicle into them outside the Mevo Dotan settlement in the northern West Bank on Friday.

The IDF confirmed it was a terror attack, as the driver intentionally sped toward the troops who had been standing near a pillbox post located on Route 585 near the entrance to the West Bank settlement of Mevo Dotan, some 10 kilometers southwest of Jenin, where Palestinian protesters had been throwing rocks and molotov cocktails toward the road.

The two fatalities, an officer and a conscript, were killed instantly. The other two were evacuated by helicopter to Beilinson hospital in Petach Tikva in serious and moderate condition. The seriously injured soldier suffered severe head trauma and was still unstable with doctors fighting for his life.

The Shin Bet security service identified the terrorist as 26-year-old Alaa Kabha, a resident of Barta'a and a former security prisoner who had been released in April 2017. He was captured by Israeli security forces shortly after the attack and was lightly injured.
David Friedman rightly condemned the PLO for their continued silence:
US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman knocked the Palestinian Authority’s silence in the wake of the two recent terrorist attacks, in a tweet he posted on Monday that continued his practice of sharply criticizing the Palestinian leadership after each attack.

“Tragedy in Israel. 2 young soldiers, Netanel Kahalani and Ziv Daos, murdered in the North, and father of 4, Adiel Kolman, murdered in Jerusalem, by Palestinian terrorists. Such brutality and no condemnation from the PA! I pray for the families and the wounded – so much sadness,” Friedman tweeted.
And this is one more reason why the PLO's funding must be cut off for good.

Britain remains Orwellian as ever

The UK police have issued hate-speech guidelines that are as overbearing or trumped up as you can expect:
The London Metropolitan Police have issued their guidelines for what constitutes a “hate crime,” and the parameters they delineate are wide enough to cause real concern. The guidelines state, “A hate crime is when someone commits a crime against you because of your disability, gender identity, race, sexual orientation, religion, or any other perceived difference. It doesn’t always include physical violence. Someone using offensive language towards you or harassing you because of who you are, or who they think you are, is also a crime.”

The guidelines get even dicier here:

If someone commits a criminal offence and the victim, or anyone else, believes it was motivated by prejudice or hate, we class this as a “hate crime.” It means the offender can be charged for the crime itself and also their reasons for doing it. If someone does something that isn’t a criminal offence but the victim, or anyone else, believes it was motivated by prejudice or hate, we would class this as a ‘hate incident’. Though what the perpetrator has done may not be against the law, their reasons for doing it are. This means it may be possible to charge them with an offence.

Thus it is not difficult to imagine that if a person acknowledged another person using a pronoun denoting their biological sex, while the other person claimed their “gender identity” was different from their biological sex and took umbrage at the pronoun, the first person could be charged with an offense.
I'm sure their guidelines are also meant to ensure no criticism of Islam either. This country gets worse by the minute, and no improvement over any of the terrible governing they've performed in the past. Just a total disaster of policy.

Germany failed to deport asylum seeker who murdered girl for refusing to convert to Islam

The UK Metro reported a Muslim trying to get asylum in Germany murdered a girlfriend for not converting:
An asylum seeker has been arrested in Germany over the murder of his girlfriend.

It is alleged that Ahmad G, 18, killed girlfriend Mireille B, also 18, because she would not convert to Islam. Identities of people in court cases are restricted in German law.

He carried out the alleged killing during the appeal process to have him deported, according to prosecutors, and snapped when she refused to put on a headscarf.

Mireille is one of several young women who has died at the hands of refugee men in the country – crimes which have helped fuel the rise of the far-right Alternative for Germany party.

She was stabbed to death on Monday night in the northern city of Flensburg.
The real failure was the German government's not incarcerating him before he could carry out the crime. They just let him go around loose, and a terrible tragedy took place as a result.

Steve Bannon speaks at newly ordained National Rally in France

What was once called Front National is now renamed Rassemblement Nationale in France, as Marine Le Pen's management makes an effort to sever all ties with her repulsive father. And with that done, Steve Bannon spoke to a gathering:
Former Trump administration adviser Steve Bannon told members of France’s far-right political party Saturday that “the tide of history is with us, and it will compel us to victory after victory after victory.”

Bannon — who was once President Trump’s chief political strategist — made the remarks at the anti-immigrant National Front congress in Lille.

Nationalism is “part of a worldwide movement that is bigger than France, bigger than Italy, bigger than Hungary, bigger than all of it.”

“It is not about left versus right,” Bannon said, quoting National Front standard-bearer Marine Le Pen, who was defeated in the French presidential race last year by Emmanuel Macron.

“She described it perfectly,” Bannon said. “Do you consider the nation state an obstacle to be overcome, or a jewel to be polished, loved and nurtured?”
I consider it the latter. He also told them how not be ashamed of their anti-Islam positions:
“Let them call you racists, let them call you xenophobes, let them call you nativists,” he proclaimed. “Wear it as a badge of honor, because every day we get stronger and they get weaker.”
Just so long as they distance themselves from disgusting men like Jean-Marie Le Pen, and make distinctions between race and ideology, then it'll work out. Congratulations to Bannon for this special visit to France.

Roger Waters continues to associate with Islamofascists, no matter how much audience he's lost

The anti-Israeli musician from Pink Floyd is now promoting a "palestinian poet" through his shoddy music:
Former Pink Floyd frontman Roger Waters has joined Palestinian performers Trio Joubran to record a song attacking Donald Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and move the U.S. embasssy from Tel Aviv accordingly.

Trio Joubran is a prominent group performing Palestinian traditional music. Waters uses their backing to underscore verses from poet Mahmoud Darwish to attack Israel, the Middle East’s only true democracy.
Obviously, their "music" is deliberately contrived in terms of "tradition" too. Waters is such a bore already, and whatever music he's come up with is just a cure for insomnia.

British Haredi girls' school censors content in textbooks out of moral panic on sexual subjects

Haredi censorship reigns in a British-based girls' yeshiva, as the staff pulled some most insulting forms of censorship, truly lacking confidence in explaining to the students what's positive or negative:
A Haredi seminary for girls in the United Kingdom has caused outrage after it redacted references to homosexuality and abortions from its textbooks, and censored imagery of women on the grounds that it was merely "shielding the girls from sexual content."

In Israel, Haredi textbooks are produced independently and their content is therefore supervised from the outset to meet the sector's standards. In England, however, the same textbooks are used across the country's school system, without deference to sectorial preferences.

British media, consequently, raised concern over the censorship on display in textbooks used by the Yesodey Hatorah Senior Girls' School in Stamford Hill, Hackney. Entire paragraphs were erased from textbooks with a black marker, according to reports and photos disseminated online, while some photos were covered up and others women were "dressed" using the same black marker.
They even removed content featuring Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire dancing, which just shows how they don't have the courage to explain how joy is expressed in western culture with dance. They also obviously don't have the talent to teach why homosexuality is abnormal, even though censoring it altogether is only bound to lead to more courtesy of their gender segregation beliefs. If they're going to mutilate the textbooks, they should receive a fine from the education ministry.

Of course, it's entirely possible Muslim madrassas in the UK do the same and are allowed to get away with it, or, they're allowed to use entirely different textbooks no matter the common approach in the rest of the country, so the article may not have the impact it could as a result. Though it is galling nevertheless.

MSM excuses Democrats who associated with Farrakhan

The mainstream press see nothing wrong with Democrats acting chummy with the overlord of the Nation of Islam:
Imagine if the Ku Klux Klan returned to securing streets, recruiting prison inmates and dabbling in social services. Would the mainstream media ask us to look the other way at its racism because of these other deeds?

Of course not. But that is essentially what is going on with Louis Farrakhan right now.

Farrakhan, the 84-year-old leader of the Chicago-based Nation of Islam, has become a problem for Democrats. In January, a photo surfaced of Farrakhan and Obama smiling with a group of men at a Congressional Black Caucus meeting in 2005.

The man who released the photo, journalist and Washington jazz impresario Askia Muhammad, said he kept it secret for more than 12 years because he knew it would damage Obama politically.

Then, other black Democratic members of Congress were exposed as having met with Farrakhan, and Republicans in Congress have called on them to resign.

In late February, Farrakhan gave his annual Saviors’ Day speech in Chicago, in which he blamed Jews for apartheid, Hollywood sleaze and “turning men into women and women into men.”

“Farrakhan, by God’s grace, has pulled the cover off of that Satanic Jew,” he said, referring to himself in the third person.
Yet a lot more Democrat representatives have continued to side with him, regardless of how demonic he is. And he blames all Jews for what's gone wrong in Hollywood, not the individuals themselves, nor does he consider there's non-Jews who're just as guilty of what he supposedly disapproves of, and maybe even more so. Honestly though, I doubt he really has a problem with Hollywood's emasculation mentality.

I hope this latest scandal will convince the Democrats to distance themselves from Farrakhan once and for all, but there's no guarantee they actually will.

Florida school teacher assaults woman for wearing shorts to junior league baseball match

We have here a case of a woman in a public job setting a most horrific example for students by assaulting a woman over a petty issue - wearing a pair of shorts to a kids baseball game about 2 weeks ago:
A Florida high school teacher turned violent and began repeatedly punching another woman in the face because she dared wear very short pants to a little league ball game, police say.

Clay County police arrested Terry Lee Coursey, 37, after an argument turned physical. According to police, Coursey began punching a woman because she thought her “short shorts” were inappropriate to wear at a kids baseball game, NewsJax4 reported.

[...] A police report also noted that the victim had visible bruises and contusions on her face, forearms, and a cut on her right wrist. She also had abrasions on her shoulder, elbow, and chest.

Coursey, a teacher at Clay High School in Green Cove Springs, pleaded not guilty to a first-degree misdemeanor charge of simple battery, court records revealed.
It sounds like she's not even sorry she did such an awful thing. This is creepily reminiscent of a similar assault by Muslims over a year ago in France, at the time Francois Hollande ran his fiasco of a government, for which the Socialists later paid a heavy price. Now we have crazy people littering the school system in the US who must've been influenced by such nasty behavior, and whose acts could risk influencing other students to do the same. Let us be perfectly clear - there is NO justification for violently assaulting a woman over how skimpily she's dressed. The teacher's been suspended by her school staff pending the trial she'll be facing. She should be fired altogether and made to pay a heavy fine for her abominable crime. She doesn't belong in education.

Teen arrested in Utah for putting bomb in backpack

A teenager at a school in Hurricane, Utah was arrested for bringing a bomb to a local school in his backpack:
A teenage student at a southern Utah high school has been charged with bringing a homemade bomb to school after it was discovered in a backpack emitting smoke and prompted an evacuation, police said Tuesday.

The boy was arrested Monday night after Pine View High School in the city of St. George was evacuated for two hours that afternoon while the FBI and a bomb squad investigated. Police declined to identify the arrested teen or give his age.

Authorities said additional charges also are pending against the teen as a suspect in the raising of the Islamic State (ISIS) terror group’s flag on a pole at another Utah high school last month just after the Florida mass school shooting that was followed by numerous other threats to schools around the US.
How much of this Islamic influence could be running rampant in schools? This is just why security is sorely needed at many schools. And why won't the police identify him? Is it because he's a foreigner, and they don't want the public to form an opinion?

Nikki Haley's to be commended for defending Israel again from the UN's bully tactics

UN Watch has the transcript from US ambassador Nikki Haley's speech at AIPAC, which rightly condemns the UN for it's anti-Israelist bullying. I'm glad there's people like her running the show now, which is very helpful in dealing with some of the worst antisemitic outfits out there.

Czech Republic will hopefully move embassy to Jerusalem faster

The Czech president says he's pushing for their embassy to be moved to Jerusalem faster:
The president of the Czech Republic has said that moving his country’s embassy to Jerusalem is a top priority, local media reported Thursday.

According to the Lidové noviny newspaper, Milos Zeman, who in December announced his intention to relocate the embassy from Tel Aviv, now wants to speed up the process.

Daniel Meron, Israel’s ambassador to the Czech Republic, tweeted the report, asking whether the country would be the second to move its embassy to Jerusalem after the United States.
I sincerely hope they will. The sooner, the more we can appreciate and congratulate them for sending an important message about recognition of Israel's history and sovereignty in Jerusalem.

Irish town forced to take migrants by EU

A small town in Ireland was forced to take in tons of potentially Muslim migrants:
A resident of a tiny Irish town having its population increased by a third by a new migrant centre has said Ireland has become a “slave state” of the European Union (EU) and its immigration policies, leaving locals helpless.

“We don’t know where these people are going to be from. They won’t tell us what countries they’re from. What religion they’re from,” said Michael Walsh.

He said the 300-strong rural community of Lisdoonvarna could be radically changed by such a large and sudden influx, and that many concerned locals were fearful of accusations of racism if they questioned it.
It's stunning how the country that stood strong against Britain in the early 20th century with rebels like Michael Collins leading the resistance has now sold out to the EU, which is just as bad. Now, look where it's leading to, and that's bound to be horrific.

Haredi extremists threaten campus graduation ceremony

This took place around Mea Shearim, as some Haredi moonbats sought to disrupt a ceremony because it represented all they despise:
A Haredi family participating in a graduation ceremony was attacked Monday evening after leaving the Strauss Campus, the academic arm of the Hadassah Academic College for Haredi students, situated in the heart of Jerusalem's Haredi neighborhoods.

Protesters in the Mea Shearim neighborhood spat on, pushed and chased the family as they left the ceremony, after earlier one of them burst into the hall where the ceremony was taking place and disrupted proceedings.

Academic studies in the Haredi sector remain an issue of some controversy, with several hard-line factions frowning upon them. During Monday's ceremony celebrating graduates of mass communication, business administration and biotechnology, protesters took it a step further became actively disruptive.
There were even assaults on Haredi students occurring. This is truly awful, and any felons arrested should be made to attend classes in ethics themselves.

Deal to buy Weinstein Company assets collapses again, hopefully for the last time

The deal that was being made to buy out Harvey Weinstein's now plummeting studio has collapsed again, it hopefully this time the studio will go into bankruptcy:
The $500-million deal for an investor group to acquire Harvey Weinstein's former movie and TV studio has collapsed — again — in yet another twist in the chaotic saga of Weinstein Co.

Three sources close to the investor group, led by former Obama administration official Maria Contreras-Sweet, said Tuesday that it found at least $50 million in undisclosed liabilities on the New York company's books.

The surprise debts, which would have significantly increased the purchase price of the assets, torpedoed negotiations, said the knowledgeable people, who were not authorized to speak publicly.

"All of us have worked in earnest on the transaction to purchase the assets of the Weinstein Company," Maria Contreras-Sweet, a former head of the Small Business Administration who was leading the investment group, said in a statement. "However, after signing and entering into the confirmatory diligence phase, we have received disappointing information about the viability of completing this transaction."

"As a result, we have decided to terminate this transaction."

Weinstein Co.'s board fired back in its own statement, saying it was "transparent about its dire financial condition" and had acted in "good faith" in the hope that a deal could be reached. "We regret being correct that this buyer simply had no intention of following through on its promises," the statement said.

The latest development increases the likelihood that Weinstein Co., founded in 2005, will file for bankruptcy protection in a matter of days as the studio runs out of cash. The scuttling of the deal casts additional uncertainty over the fate of the company's estimated 130 employees in New York and Los Angeles.
Well, I think it's for the best that the studio goes out of business altogether. I wouldn't buy their claim of transparency on their debts either; they were just hoping to salvage jobs of people who might've even been aware of Weinstein's revolting antics.

So, I guess this means the movie and TV studio will at last be seeing its curtains drawn across the stage and the lights going out. Also, the NYPD announced they're ready with gathered evidence to arrest Weinstein:
New York City's top detective said Wednesday police have gathered considerable evidence in the rape investigation of Harvey Weinstein but it's up to the district attorney to decide whether the disgraced media mogul gets indicted.

"It's his case right now," Chief Robert Boyce said of Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus R. Vance, Jr. "I would ask you to ask him ... his schedule ... where it goes forward."
In that case, I should hope the DA will give the green light to taking all the steps needed to bring Harvey to jail. I can't wait to see what the trial will be like. Weinstein belongs in a dark, dank cell.

PayPal closes accounts of BDS activists in France

PayPal's made a positive step in dealing with anti-Israel movements:
For the second time in 30 days, PayPal shut down the account of a French organization advocating anti-Israel boycotts. Bravo!

The US-based online payment service giant PayPal closed the account of a French organization advocating the boycott, divestment, sanctions (BDS) campaign targeting Israel.

A PayPal spokesperson said, “We would like to stress that PayPal has zero tolerance for the use of our secure payments platform to facilitate illegal activities.” France has tough anti-BDS legislation, the Lellouche Law, which bans nationality-based discrimination.

Bravo to PayPal for standing up against BDS!
On that I fully concur. It's good to see that those responsible are getting tougher in dealing with such awful movements.

Italian populists score a victory

Now here's some positive news from Italy - the rightists have made impressive victories in this year's election:
In what is being called “the mother of all anti-establishment votes,” populist-nationalist parties hammered parties identified as being part of the old guard in Italian elections Sunday, radically altering Italy’s political landscape.

The anti-establishment 5-Star Movement emerged as the biggest party in both Houses of Parliament while the anti-immigration League has taken over from Berlusconi’s Forza Italia as the largest single party on the political right.

The results will not be final until Monday evening, but exit polls point to a remarkable shift in Italian politics away from conventional parties to anti-establishment groups looking to shake up business as usual. The real victors were Luigi di Maio of the 5-Star Movement and Matteo Salvini of the League, in an election that saw voter turnout at over 73 percent of the voter population, essentially debunking forecasts of low turnout due to supposed indifference and disillusionment.
And the leftists have been diminished:
With final results in from Sunday’s national elections in Italy, the depth of the defeat for the left can be fully appreciated with the resignation of the leader of the Democratic Party (PD) and the severely diminished presence of the center-left coalition in Parliament.

According to the Italian media, elections left the PD “prostrate” while the center-left coalition itself has “disappeared” from the electoral map charting political predominance across Italy’s 20 regions.

The tabulated election results show the center-right coalition taking 267 seats in the House (with 124 of these going to the League) and 136 in the Senate, nudging aside Berlusconi’s Forza Italia party as the de facto leader of the center-right. Forza Italia will have taken 104 seats in the Chamber of Deputies (House) and 57 in the Senate.
This is good, and definitely if the rightists are willing to take convincing steps to push back the Muslim migrants who were allowed into the country, which have led to violent crimes there too. Now, it remains to be seen if France can succeed in making similar gains of success in their own conservative movements. They will still need our help, of course.

Polish government still isn't cooperating

And just when Holocaust Memorial Day is soon to take place:
Talks between a Polish government delegation and Israeli officials over Poland's controversial Holocaust law have failed, Channel 20 reported Monday.

According to the report, the sides tried coming to understandings before delegations from across the globe visit Poland next month to mark the 75th anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising.

Failing to reach such understandings by April, the report said, could create an embarrassing situation in light of the current diplomatic dispute over the Holocaust law – which imposes jail sentences of up to three years for suggesting Poland was complicit in Nazi crimes.

The law has drawn outrage in Israel and harsh criticism from Poland's NATO ally the United States.
Reportedly, the Polish president and prime minister have been dis-invited from the White House because of the diplomatic fiasco they've caused. It's a terrible shame Poland's politicians are being so divisive at a time when unity is needed badly.

Haredi parties' threats to damage coalition is shameful at a time when terrorism should be main concern

The Haredi political parties, caring only about exemptions from serving in the army, have caused a coalition crisis:
Overnight efforts to resolve the coalition crisis failed Sunday, fueling speculations that early elections may soon be unavoidable.

The crisis was sparked by Ashkenazi ultra-Orthodox party United Torah Judaism's threat to stall the vote on the state budget unless its amendment to Israel's Defense Service Law is passed. The amendment aims to legally anchor exemptions from military service for ultra-Orthodox yeshiva students.

The issue of mandatory military service for the ultra-Orthodox sector has dogged Israeli politics for years. Many in the ultra-Orthodox community believe military service should be secondary to Torah study. However, secular Israelis oppose being expected to shoulder the burden without any contribution by a substantial sector of the population.

Shas, the Sephardi ultra-Orthodox party, has voiced support for the controversial legislation.

The new legislation stipulates that as long as enough religious soldiers enlist to meet quotas set annually by the government, all other Torah scholars will not be drafted. Last year, the quota was 3,200 ultra-Orthodox recruits, but in fact only 2,850 actually reported for duty.

It also stipulates that the government enact measures, ranging from sanctions to incentives, to help the ultra-Orthodox population meet the quotas – including lowering the threshold number. These measures would have to be approved by the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, but if it declined to approve them, the Knesset plenum would have an opportunity to override the committee.
So these socialists are only worried about their own narrow interests and make it sound like they won't even help to battle the much more important matter of Iran's nuclear threats. This is very disgraceful. Even if, as some polls indicate, the Likud is still bound to be elected for another term of running the government, that doesn't mean the Haredis should be causing all this trouble, and for that, they should be panned. Of course, if the Kulani party intends to vote against the budget, then they're guilty too.

If they're all smart, they'll stop this atrocity at once and start concentrating on the real issues at hand like Iran's Islamofascism. But if they don't, then they don't deserve to continue in the Knesset.

Daily Beast columnist incited against Pamela Geller's family

Caroline Glick's written all about the incitement on Twitter a writer for the Daily Beast led to against Pamela Geller's daughters, which even led to their losing a talk show.

This is a most offensive case, demonstrating how the left is even resorting to a sins of the mother visited upon the child approach. It goes without saying the reporter who caused all this horror should be sued for incitement and defamation, and owes an apology. Similarly, even Yahoo, who were managing the social media show the daughters ran, could be sued for discrimination based on politics and association.

Leftist Italian political movement selling out to Muslims

A left-wing Italian politics party held a voting class for Muslims to school them on voting for them:
The left-wing Italian Democratic Party (PD) held a voting class for Muslims this week in Milan, with some highlighting the fact that the party had used ballots where the only choice was the Democratic Party.

The lesson on voting was held at the Islamic Center of Milan and Lombardy earlier this week, and was facilitated by the Milan secretary of the PD Pietro Bussolati and municipal councillor Sumaya Abdel Qader Il Giornale reports.

Pictures surfaced from the event which showed the PD politician alongside Egyptian Muslim Sameh Meligy, who is reported to not only have ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, which is considered a terror group in many countries, but is also said to be on a terror blacklist in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The class comes only days after Muslims at the nearby Segrate mosque, also known as Masjid al-Rahmàn, put out a bulletin instructing believers to vote for the left-wing coalition led by the Democratic Party and former Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi.

The main reason for the endorsement of the centre-left coalition is their proposal to change the Italian citizenship laws to allow anyone born on Italian soil to gain automatic citizenship, as in other countries like the United States.
So there's the enemy right in Italy - a leftist political movement. This is truly awful.

California Democrats show off their anti-Israel colors

The Democrats in California intend to oppose pro-Israeli, anti-boycott legislation (Hat tip: Breitbart):
The California Democratic Party adopted a resolution at their annual convention on Sunday to oppose federal bills intended to thwart the movement to boycott Israel.

The party’s legislative committee also supported a proposed federal bill preventing the Israel Defense Forces from using U.S. tax dollars to detain Palestinian children, but did not make it into the platform.

The federal bills are the Israel Anti-Boycott Act, which could impose fines of up to $1 million and 20 years in prison for boycotting Israel, and the Combatting BDS Act, which encourages states to pass their own laws against boycotting Israel.
This is despite governor Jerry Brown signing a bill against anti-Israeli activity. It's clear the liberals in California are crumbling under the weight of bad ideology.

Angela Merkel admits there's no-go zones in Germany

Just don't expect her to do anything about it:
Angela Merkel has admitted the existence of ‘no-go areas’, where outsiders are afraid to enter, in Germany — just months after Breitbart London editor in chief Raheem Kassam comprehensively documented their existence in his groundbreaking book.

In an interview with RTL earlier this week, the acting Chancellor also conceded that the huge influx of third world migrants who arrived after her decision to throw open the border in 2015 has “raised multiple questions”.

Merkel said she is in favour of a “zero tolerance” approach to crime, telling the broadcaster it is the duty of the authorities to keep people safe because “the state has the monopoly of power”.

“That means, for example, that there are no-go areas … where no one dares to go” said the German leader, stating: “One has to call them by their name and do something about them.”

“We cannot just stand by while there are different standards of security in different regions,” Merkel added, noting that her Christian Democratic Union (CDU) would like to see the development of a standardised model of policing for across the country.
Unfortunately, past conduct on her part - or lack thereof - has failed to ensure it'll happen, so her statements alone are not enough. She could've avoided causing this whole mess, and didn't.

Mea Shearim extremists hang more effigies of soldiers in their neighborhood

Some of the anti-military scum littering the Haredi enclave of Mea Shearim in Jerusalem caused another sick moment of disgust:
Police removed an effigy of an IDF soldier that had been hung from a roof in a predominantly ultra-Orthodox neighborhood of Jerusalem on Friday.

As the city celebrated the festival of Purim, officers were booed and jeered at by a crowd on the street as they removed the life-sized, uniformed doll, police said.

“Police removed an effigy of a soldier from a building in the Mea Shearim neighborhood,” a police statement said. “A preliminary investigation found that it was saturated with flammable liquid, apparently with the intent of setting it on fire.”

Police launched an investigation into the incident. A few hours later officers took down a second effigy that had been hung up nearby.

Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman, who has raised hackles in the ultra-Orthodox community over his support for increased participation in the military among yeshiva students, condemned the effigy.

“The sight of the soldier effigy in Mea Shearim is shocking,” he tweeted. “It is my job as defense minister to protect [all Israelis and] also these agitators. It is my job as a citizen to fight them politically. It is the authorities’ job to lock them up. I expect the leaders of the ultra-Orthodox parties to condemn this act.”
Some neighborhood residents condemned the incident, but if they didn't take it down sooner, and if a whole crowd booed at police for getting rid of such an awful sight, then they're no less guilty than the perpetrators. The only way the Haredi parties in the Knesset can condemn it convincingly is to cut out their opposition to the army draft.

An old report pointed to Polish antisemitism post-WW2

The Simon Wiesenthal Center obtained a 1946 report about attitudes in Poland that indicated antisemitism was very deeply rooted, and could explain why it still is today:
A US State Department report from 1946, which was declassified in the 1980s, states that Poland was highly anti-Semitic before the Nazi occupation during the Second World War. The report was obtained by the Simon Wiesenthal Center and released on Thursday, the same day that the controversial Polish Holocaust Law went into effect.

The report explains that anti-Semitism in Poland is deeply rooted in the country’s history. “Polish anti-Semitism was preached by political parties and church heads and practiced by officials high and low. By 1939, it was one of the distinguishing factors of the country’s political, social and economic life,” the document states.

[...] The State Department concluded in the report that due to the strong anti-Semitic foundation in Poland, anti-Semitism in the European nation “is unlikely to diminish.”
Well I guess that explains how we got to this point. It's apparently still lurking around the corner, if you'll put it that way, in Polish neighborhoods. Now the challenge is how to persuade them to stop? If anything, nobody should let their offensive, divisive "law" intimidate them.

Marine Le Pen could go to jail for condemning barbarism

The pro-Islamist persecution of Marine Le Pen for tweeting images of ISIS savagery is taking place now, according to Jerusalem Online:
Former French presidential candidate Marine Le Pen has been charged with distribution of violent images for tweeting three pictures of executions carried out by ISIS on Twitter in 2015.

The charge against the far right-wing leader was filed on Thursday near Paris. A few months ago, France’s National Assembly stripped Le Pen of her parliamentary immunity in the case. If the case goes to trial and she is convicted of the offense, she could face up to three years in prison and a fine of €75,000 (about $91,390).

[...] Le Pen, the leader of France’s National Front, has denounced the indictment against her. “I am being charged for having condemned the horrors of Daesh,” she told AFP, using the Arabic acronym for ISIS. “In other countries this would have earned me a medal.”
I think it's high time for all concerned to put any misgivings they could have about Le Pen aside, recognize that this is not her repugnant father we're talking about, who by contrast sold out to Islamofascists years before, and protest the unjust persecution of Le Pen for all the wrong reasons. The war against jihadism will not be won if we allow people to be prosecuted for condemning it.

Update: Breitbart notes that MP Gilbert Collard is also being persecuted for doing the same as Le Pen.

Israel's first female Haredi judge

This is a positive step to ensure women of Haredi backgrounds will be allowed the same roles as men:
The Judicial Selection Committee on Thursday appointed Havi Toker to serve in the Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court, making her Israel’s first female ultra-orthodox judge.

Toker, 41, was born in England and grew up in Bnei Brak as the eldest of 12 brothers and sisters in a well-known ultra-Orthodox family.

She began her legal career in 2003 and has since spent time clerking in the Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court, before working as an attorney in the police investigators unit followed by the Jerusalem District Attorney’s Office.
Amazingly enough, some of the Haredi press is positive about her new job, which is a good sign. This can help tear down the bias that plagued much of the ultra-Orthodox ideology in the past, and if a woman can serve on a rabbinical court panel in the future, that'll help improve the situation even more.

Sarah Halimi's murderer will be tried for a hate crime after all

Finally, some justice has prevailed in the case of the Muslim migrant who murdered French Jewish citizen Sarah Halimi:
The brutal murder in April 2017 of a French Jewish pensioner by an Islamist assailant will be prosecuted as an antisemitic hate crime after all, the judge investigating the case announced on Tuesday.

French news outlets reported that the investigating judge decided to retain the charge as an “aggravating circumstance” after hearing directly on Tuesday from Kobili Traore — the 27-year-old Malian immigrant who subjected 65-year-old Sarah Halimi to a severe beating after breaking into her Paris apartment. He later threw Halimi out of a third-floor window to her death.

The announcement will come as welcome news to the French Jewish community, which had been deeply concerned by an earlier judicial decision in January to revisit the antisemitism charge on the grounds of Traore’s alleged mental health problems. In an interview this week with the French Jewish news outlet Actualité Juive, Muriel Ouaknine Melki — a lawyer who represents Halimi’s brother, William Attal — emphasized that “the way in which Sarah was slaughtered shows a characteristic, specific hatred, which unfortunately our experience of antisemitic cases now allows us to identify fairly quickly.”
Most importantly, he must be imprisoned for a long time, or better still, get the death sentence, a concept which has to be restored in Europe for dealing with violent criminals. It's time to make sure the already screwed up judicial system shows some convincing effort to combat these crimes.
