If Biden returns to Iran deal, he'll be causing a crisis with Israel's diplomatic ties

Joe Biden's willingness to reenter the Iran deal is leading to friction with Israel (Hat tip: Jihad Watch):
Israeli television on Wednesday reported that Jerusalem is warning an American return to the former terms of the nuclear deal with Iran under President Joe Biden could lead the countries to a crisis in relations.

Channel 12 news cited “a very senior Israeli official” as saying: “If Biden adopts Obama’s plan, we will have nothing to talk about with him.” The official was referencing the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action signed by former president Barack Obama in 2015.
It's good they're making this clear. Where Biden is leading, no matter what he says, is nothing short of disaster, and is bound to guarantee Iran will still remain a horrific autocracy.

While we're on the issue, Joel Pollak discussed how Biden is bound to return the middle east to a war zone:
Trump left the U.S. in a position of historic strategic advantage. But like President Barack Obama, who squandered the gains of the Iraq “surge” and withdrew before the country was stable enough to prevent the rise of the terrorist “Islamic State,” Biden is throwing away many of the gains Trump achieved in the region.

If he simply stays on the course Trump charted, Biden can maximize his leverage on Iran and entice Saudi Arabia to make peace with Israel.

Those prospects are dimming.

On Friday, for example, the White House confirmed that President Biden had named Robert Malley his envoy on Iran. Malley is a radical with a long record of foreign policy failure.

In 2008, the Obama campaign booted Malley after it emerged he met with Palestinian terror group Hamas. In 2015, he was brought into the Obama administration to work on the hopelessly weak Iran nuclear deal. Malley was then named as ISIS “czar,” leading Obama’s hapless effort.

Malley appeared to learned nothing from his mistakes. In 2018, when President Trump supported protests against the Iranian regime, Malley joined the critics who said Trump should “be quiet.”
With people like that running the show, it's no wonder there's bound to be disaster, and no proper action will be taken to put an end to a middle eastern dictatorship. This is the sad result of years of indoctrination, and failure for people with common sense to maintain vigilance to defend against the same.

Loathsome Leifer is back Down Under, in police custody in Melbourne

So now, the repellent Haredi child molestor Malka Leifer has been shipped back to Australia, where she's now appearing before a court in Melbourne:
A former teacher extradited from Israel after a six-year legal battle appeared in an Australian court Thursday to face child sex abuse charges.

Malka Leifer, 54, appeared in Melbourne Magistrates Court by video link from a police station where she is in COVID-19 quarantine.
Wow, did she get ill with the Wu-Flu? She deserves it.
Wearing a headscarf, she sat with her head in her hands during the 20-minute hearing where the 74 charges against her were read in court for the first time. She did not respond when Magistrate Johanna Metcalf asked if she could see and hear the proceedings.

Guards in the room with Leifer confirmed that the audio-visual link was working.
Leifer is clearly continuing to play victimologist here, though facinatingly enough, she didn't apply for bail, which she doesn't deserve. In any event, let's hope she gets a severe prison term when the time comes around for her sentencing, and she also doesn't deserve any "religious privileges".

Vandalism at French Holocaust Memorial provides warning why it'd be dangerous to support Chinese Uighers

See the graffiti in the picture of the vandalism discovered at the French Holocaust Memorial in Drancy? Here's a brief report about it too:
Vandals painted graffiti on France's Holocaust Memorial ahead of international commemorations of the Nazi slaughter of millions of Jews.

The Israeli Embassy in France tweeted a photo of the pro-Uighur graffiti scrawled on a wall etched with the names of tens of thousands of French victims of the Holocaust.

The embassy expressed "horror and anger" at the vandalism "on such a symbolic day."
As much as I'm disgusted at China and their communist ideology, it's crucial to remember that the Uighers are a Muslim community, and in the past, there were times when they committed offensive crimes primarily on - but not limited to - Chinese soil. Based on which, if what was scrawled obnoxiously on the wall at the Memorial was in any ways a validation of the Uighers' adherence to Islam, and blaming Jews for what China's doing to them, that's why it'd be dangerous to overlook the fact that the Uighers practice the Religion of Peace, and could pose a danger no matter where they are in the world, if given the chance. Conservatives who may be siding with the Uighers would be strongly advised not to take a naive view of their belief systems.

Trump establishes special post-presidency office

Donald Trump may sadly no longer be POTUS. But, he's not going to let that put an end to the visions he'd like to continue building for the better of the world, and now, he's doing just that in Florida:
Former President Donald Trump established an official post-presidency office in Palm Beach County, Florida, on Monday to oversee his post-presidential affairs.

“Today, the 45th President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, formally opened the Office of the Former President,” a statement from the new office said.

“The Office will be responsible for managing President Trump’s correspondence, public statements, appearances, and official activities to advance the interests of the United States and to carry on the agenda of the Trump Administration through advocacy, organizing, and public activism. President Trump will always and forever be a champion for the American People,” the statement added.
This is a good thing. Because there is still much he can do, even out of office, and not just in the US, but around the world too. And the time couldn't be better than now to start. I wish Trump a lot of good luck with this new mission.

Jewish organization sides with women on issues of privacy, which Biden's executive order violates

The Coalition for Jewish Values has objected to the incredibly disrespectful and dangerous executive order Joe Biden signed requiring ladies' bathrooms and changing rooms to allow men claiming to be transgender in with the opposite sex, along with women's sports teams:
The Coalition for Jewish Values (CJV), representing over 1500 traditional, Orthodox rabbis in matters of public policy, today expressed grave concern regarding President Joe Biden’s executive order that requires federally funded schools to allow biological male students who identify as female to use women’s bathrooms and compete on women’s sports teams.

Entitled “Preventing and Combating Discrimination on the Basis of Gender Identity or Sexual Orientation,” the Executive Order contends that “Children should be able to learn without worrying about whether they will be denied access to the restroom, the locker room, or school sports.” The rabbinic group maintains that, to the contrary, children — and girls in particular — will now worry that they cannot privately and safely use their own bathrooms or locker rooms, and will be expected to undress in the presence of biological members of the opposite sex.

"It is a sad day indeed when the new administration, which entered office with the promise to unite, has commenced its activities by offending basic principles of privacy and decency, by endorsing the use of women's changing rooms by biological males who claim to be females,”
said Rabbi Avrohom Gordimer, Chairman of the CJV Rabbinic Circle. “This Executive Order threatens the safety of all Americans, especially women and girls.”
Exactly. It's virtually a legalization of criminal offenses. Since we're on the subject, besides siding with the male misogyny movement, Biden's also siding with the PLO:
The Biden Administration intends to restore aid to the Palestinian Authority as well as reopen diplomatic missions which were closed by the Trump Administration, acting U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations told the UN Security Council Tuesday.

Mills said that the Biden Administration would "support a mutually agreed, two-state solution, in which Israel lives in peace and security, alongside a viable Palestinian state."
The "2-state solution" has long been exposed as a complete fraud, but what's also offensive here is Biden's willingness to give funding to the PLO, as he's bound to do, at the US taxpayers' expense. Tragically, this was to be expected when such terrible people were fraudulently elected.

Continuing Haredi riots are absolutely disgusting, and dangerous

It won't shock me if one day, we'll find out the gurus behind the specific hoodlums and vandals who committed these latest atrocities were working as foreign agents for causing disorder in Israel and to undermine Netanyahu's government. For now, here's the latest abominable behavior committed by Haredi extremists:
Police forces clashed with haredi (ultra-Orthodox) rioters in Mea Shearim in Jerusalem on Tuesday morning, police reported.

Rioters, opposing police efforts to enforce coronavirus lockdown restrictions, reportedly threw rocks at moving vehicles, blocked roads with garbage dumpsters and caused damage to a bus.

Police forces were dispatched to the ultra-Orthodox neighborhood and are working to disperse the gathering and restore public order to the area.

Several rioters were recorded clashing with the officers while trying to prevent them from enforcing lockdown guidelines.

A water cannon was reportedly deployed to the scene by police as a means of dispersal and eight individuals have been arrested so far.

Similar riots were also reported Tuesday in Beit Shemesh, with hundreds of participants assaulting police officers by throwing rocks and eggs at them. Three suspects were reportedly detained.
If you think that's bad enough, however, you haven't considered the horror story the rioters scripted at the light railway when they attacked a train unit:
CityPass, which operates the Jerusalem light rail, said Tuesday that cement poured on the rails during an ultra-Orthodox protest earlier in the week could have caused a train to overturn with people inside it.

A demonstration by ultra-Orthodox protesters against a new route of the service turned violent Sunday night, with demonstrators clashing with police, smashing windows of a train, daubing it with black paint, and pouring cement on the tracks.

Ten protesters were arrested during the protests and police were searching for those who damaged the rails
. Police, who brought in water cannon to disperse the crowds, said one officer was injured by a stone and required medical treatment. A reporter for the Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper was also injured by a stone flung at him and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Passengers who were on the train, which was standing at a stop on Shivtei Yisrael Street, fled as a mob attacked carriages causing significant damage.

Train services were delayed until the cement was removed.

The demonstration by the ultra-Orthodox, also known as Haredim, was over new routes of the city’s light rail network that are planned to go through their insular neighborhoods.

“This is very dangerous damage that could have caused the train to come off the tracks and even turn over, with passengers inside it,” CityPass said in its statement.

CityPass said it strongly condemns the attack and the vandals who endangered passengers and called on the police “to bring to justice the rioters whose grave acts endangered their lives.”

A spokesperson stressed that while the company has become accustomed to damage to trains from protesters, interfering with the rails was taking the violence to a much more serious and dangerous level.
On which note: if they could do something that horrific, what are the chances that one day, unless proper reeducational steps are taken, these ultra-Orthodox tribalists will start attacking with guns and knives? Some of the acts they've performed in the past few weeks are so disturbing, it's entirely understandable if authorities feel threatened. They have been condemned by a prominent Haredi rabbi though:
The violence drew broad condemnation, including from Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef, one of Israel’s two chief rabbis, who called the perpetrator’s “young delinquents” and “rioters” who are “desecrating God’s name,” while urging the Haredi community to renounce them.
Definitely, this is a desecration of God. But it's not enough to simply condemn them without naming specific cults, if they know who they are. The Satmar and Neturei Karta, for example, if guilty of the acts, must be publicly named and shamed, and steps must be taken to sanction them. Yosef is going to have to do just this himself, whether he likes it or not. Meanwhile, some rioters have been arrested:
Ten suspects were arrested by police since Monday night in Jerusalem in relation to the haredi (ultra-Orthodox) riots surrounding coronavirus lockdown, police reported on Tuesday morning.

The riots in Jerusalem included hundreds of ultra-Orthodox participants, protesting the enforcement of lockdown restrictions and included "burning garbage cans and rolling them over to the road, throwing stones at police forces and bystanders and damaging road infrastructure, as well as a police vehicle and a fire truck," the police statement noted.

One police officer and a journalist were injured during the riots and received medical treatment on the scene. The suspects arrested by police were taken in for questioning.
Since we're on the subject, it's also vital to note that there were Islamists in the Shuafat neighborhood who also caused serious problems:
Eighteen suspects were arrested for rioting, throwing Molotov cocktails and stones at security forces in the Shuafat neighborhood in Jerusalem.

The suspects, 13 minors aged 13-17 and five others aged 18-27, were seized for questioning by the Border Police, according to Maariv.
I wouldn't be shocked if they were doing it for almost the same excuses as the Haredis have been, to "protest" the Coronavirus lockdown, and even they haven't been acting very responsibly when it comes to the Covid19 situation. One of the most angering things about the Haredi riots is that they take away attention from the threat of Islamofascism that's still lurking out there. And the worst part is many of the Haredi extremists doubtlessly want that to be the case. This is exactly why any religious sect with insular customs cannot be viewed as valid.

Update: there was also a horrific incident in Bnei Brak where a bus was arsonized and the driver thankfully managed to escape without injury. This specific incident, apparently committed by followers of the extremist Jerusalem Faction, should be regarded as an act of terrorism.

Update 2: in this report, the driver makes it all the more clearer what this abominable attack on the vehicle was:
"This was nothing short of a terrorist attack. I was stunned – what is happening to people? This mob wanted to take out its rage on my passengers and me. We barely escaped with our lives. This could have ended with a disaster," he said.
Absolutely correct. Those who committed the heinous act must be imprisoned and undergo serious psychiatric evaluation, and deprogramming. In the meantime, the bus company should not service Bnei Brak if their leaders are going to act as apologists for this horrific behavior.

Update 3: here's another report about a bus that was vandalized in Jerusalem's Mea Shearim neighborhood.

Haredi sex offender Malka Leifer finally on her way back Down Under

At long last, the protracted legal affair caused by the Haredi child molestor Malka Leifer, along with the clan members who were financing her lawyers, has come to an end as she's been extradited back to Australia:
Israeli authorities extradited alleged sex abuser Malka Leifer to Australia early Monday morning, nearly 13 years after she fled Melbourne as allegations against her were coming to light and after a six-year legal process during which a court determined that she had feigned mental illness in order to avoid facing justice.

Not unlike the manner in which the former school principal was ushered out of Melbourne by board members of the Adass Israel Haredi girls’ school in 2008, the Israel Prisons Service operation that transferred her from Neve Tirza women’s prison to Ben Gurion Airport took place in the middle of the night.

Leifer was photographed climbing up a metal staircase onto a plane that will take her to Australia via Frankfurt, Germany.

The extradition was confirmed to The Times of Israel by Leifer’s lawyer Nick Kaufman, as well as by Israeli and Australian officials.

Kaufman lamented the fact that “photographs of [Leifer] being led in handcuffs and legcuffs were leaked to the press,” saying Israeli authorities had been “expected to ensure the secrecy of the date of transfer and to ensure maximum respect for Ms. Leifer’s dignity until she left Israeli jurisdiction.”
Pathetic, pathetic, pathetic of her lawyer to say that. This is somebody who committed an offensive crime against a number of defenseless children, not an innocent lady in a miniskirt being threatened with violence over what clothes she wears. Leifer is not somebody deserving of even the slightest ounce of dignity after all the trouble she caused till the day she was finally air-mailed out of the country. She practically deserves to have the flight take longer, since the plane she was put on is first going to Germany before Australia.
Israeli authorities went through with the extradition even as the government was moving forward with plans to close Ben Gurion Airport almost completely, amid fears over fast-spreading coronavirus variants entering the country. A decision was made to extradite Leifer nonetheless, with Jerusalem evidently recognizing how serious the issue was to Canberra. Senior government officials and prominent Jewish groups there have sharply criticized the drawn-out nature of the proceedings against Leifer, straining the Jewish state’s relations with the country.

Dassi Erlich, who along with her two sisters Nicole Meyer and Elly Sapper has accused Leifer of sexually abusing them when they were students at Adass, tweeted that the alleged pedophile was on her way back to Australia.

The Magen advocacy group for child abuse victims released a statement expressing relief that the Israeli chapter in the Leifer case had come to a close after over 70 court dates.

“As a community, we must continue to take a stand and fight for victims of sexual abuse, that the State of Israel not be used as a safe haven for sex offenders, and that this gross manipulation of the justice system may never happen again,” the organization said.
It's very good the authorities understood, above all, that to allow any further delay could lead to further embarrassment Israel doesn't need. If she still remained here at this point, it's always possible her ultra-Orthodox clan could find more ways, legal or otherwise, to sabotage justice ever further. Her clan in particular should be absolutely ashamed of themselves for siding with a repellent felon, and chances are very high they'll continue to do so when the next offender turns up.
Kaufman, the defense attorney, told the Times of Israel last month that he would seek to have Leifer serve any prison service in Israel if she is to be convicted in Australia, citing concerns that the 54-year-old would be unable to observe her religious lifestyle there.
Gee, I wonder why it's such a big deal that somebody who committed such obscene crimes practice a religion they don't respect? It's doubtful she ever read the part in Noah's chapter of the Bible telling how a son of his tried to sexually assault him. Anybody who commits horrific crimes against children doesn't deserve to be observing religious lifestyles, because it's just an excuse to cause difficulty for authorities in containing her properly. If she ends up in a prison population that's hostile to her, she'll deserve it, and she certainly doesn't deserve privileges and exceptions based on belonging to an insular clan. Such considerations must be brought to an end.

Update: here's coverage of the case at The Age.

Update 2: an editorial in the Jerusalem Post makes an important point that Leifer was able to evade extradition as long as she did based on "priviledged status":
The Leifer case is symbolic of a larger problem in Israel. For many years, the country has been a place that suspected criminals fled to, and Israel has been accused of being a safe haven for wanted persons. It is unclear why the country has not taken these cases seriously, and instead basically opens its gates for people who are accused of being predators abroad, to run through and be free here.

The recent case appears to shed light on how the state has often bent itself to appease certain communities, particularly the ultra-Orthodox, who, through political capital, have too many times tried to hide sexual predators. There are simply too many cases of sexual violence in the haredi community that are either covered up or downplayed by political and rabbinic leaders. This has to come to a stop.
I'm sure there's Islamists who've also gotten away with certain offenses, with assistance from the left (who also have certain connections with the ultra-Orthodox when they see advantages). For now, it's definitely offensive whenever Haredi clannists lead to serious problems like these, and serious action must be taken to make it harder for them to do it.

Israeli hospitals see 60 percent drop in need for Corona treatment of elderly over 60

This looks like promising news on the Corona medical treatment front:
Vaccines are quickly averting serious cases of COVID-19 among the most vulnerable members of society, an Israeli healthcare provider has indicated.

The full effects of Pfizer’s vaccine are only slated to kick in around a month after the first shot, but data from Israel, home to the world’s fastest vaccination drive, has already shown that there is a stark drop in infections even before this point.

Attracting widespread international interest by sharing early data, Maccabi Healthcare Services reported earlier this month that it has seen a 60 percent reduction in coronavirus infections three weeks after the first shot is administered.
And it's to be hoped that this'll signal a return to more normal life in the spring and summer. Especially one where you don't need to wear surgical masks anymore, and previous findings have shown that the masks don't guarantee full protection against Covid anyway. The whole pandemic dealt such a blow to economy as much as living, and it's clear we can't continue like this much longer. A return to more normal life must be enabled as soon as possible.

Israel's Labor party looks like they may be on their last legs

The left-wing Labor party in Israel is not doing well, as their primary vote proves:
Labor MK Merav Michaeli emerged victorious in Sunday's Labor leadership primary.

The turnout in the race was only 26%.
Gee...that sure is quite a show of force, isn't it? The Labor party certainly isn't faring well, and there's no telling if a joint run with Ron Huldai's new party will salvage them either. The once considerable influence they had as a left-wing party has plummeted over the years. Whether this new alliance they may seek will do them any good remains to be seen, and even then, it's unclear if anybody will care.

Europeans speaking out against censorship

There's representatives in Europe who're speaking out not only against censorship, but also failure to condemn leftist violence:
Jerome Riviere, president of the Identity and Democracy group, the bloc of national populist and national conservative parties in the European Parliament, condemned big tech censorship in a speech at the EU legislature this week.

The Identity and Democracy groups includes Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) from a number of mainstream national populist parties in European countries.

The parties include Matteo Salvini’s Lega party in Italy, Marine Le Pen’s National Rally in France, Geert Wilders’ Party for Freedom in the Netherlands, and Alternative for Germany (AfD) in Germany.

National conservative parties from Finland, Denmark, Estonia, Belgium, Austria, and the Czech Republic are also represented.

In his speech, Riviere, a French MEP representing the National Rally party, condemned the recently inaugurated President Biden for his lackluster response to political violence and insurrection from the far left during summer, and said the rise of tech censorship against President Trump and his movement represented a concern for all democracies.

“The other overwhelming spectacle that should worry us is the exclusion by almost all social networks of a democratically elected and still serving president.”

“This represents an unprecedented historical aggression against this essential democratic principle: respect for freedom of expression.”

“Social networks have disconnected Donald Trump, arrogating to themselves the exorbitant right to create new rules. They believe conditions of use of their service take precedence over the constitution of sovereign states
.

Riviere is the latest major political voice to join a worldwide backlash against the political power of big tech companies; a backlash that begun after Donald Trump – then still the president – was permanently suspended from most major social media platforms.
Seeing that Poland is beginning a major anti-censorship drive of their own, this'll hopefully be the wakeup call needed at a time when Biden is making a major disaster of US policy, beginning - but not limited to - stateside alone.

Women and small businesses are in serious need of a reopening in America

A writer at the Orange County Register (via Breitbart) makes a valid case why women and small business are some of the biggest victims of the pandemic's blow to the economy, and also notes the importance of taking vaccines:
According to the latest data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, a surge of coronavirus business restrictions at the tail end of 2020 forced companies to shed 140,000 net jobs in December. And guess what? A report from the National Women’s Law Center indicates that women account for 100 percent of those losses. Females forfeited 156,000 jobs last month, while males actually made employment gains. It’s a lousy job market for everyone, but it’s clearly having an outsized impact on certain groups. [...]

Americans should be lining-up to receive a vaccine.

Both approved coronavirus inoculations are among the best vaccines ever produced. The inoculations have proven to provide a strong defense against the virus for a vast majority of recipients (about 95 percent)—effectiveness rates that are comparable to the routine chicken pox or measles vaccinations.
But with the way the Democrats are handling things now, things could tragically take a turn for the worse than ever this year.

Obviously, Antifa is still a danger

It's been reported a short time that Antifa decided to continue causing disruptions, even as Joe Biden is now the faux-president:
Antifa organizers call for “targeted destruction” and “direct action” across the United States during the inauguration of Joe Biden as the nation’s 46th president. The organizers plan to confront Trump supporters in multiple state capitals.

“It’s not f**king over,”
one Antifa poster states while calling for “direct action” at Occidental Park in Seattle, Washington, according to a tweet by independent journalist Andy Ngo.

Another poster called for “targeted destruction against corporations assisting ICE.” In Denver, a BLM-Antifa poster calls for a march to the capitol to counter-protest the Trump rally coinciding with the timing of Biden’s swearing-in.

In San Francisco, another Antifa group plans a “Black Liberation Smash Fascism” rally to drive from the Bay Area to Sacramento.

The Sun reports another Antifa “J20” rally for Portland, Oregon. The poster states, “F**k the state. F**k Biden. Landback F**k 12.” This rally also coincides with the Biden-Harris inauguration.
And now, as it turns out, even after somebody whom Antifa supposedly backs was [fraudulently] elected, they went on a rampage in Portland, Oregon and vandalized the local Democrat party HQ:
Antifa marched through the streets of Portland, Oregon, on Inauguration Day carrying a sign saying “We don’t want Biden — We want revenge!”

A video tweeted by New York Times journalist Mike Baker whose a group of Antifa protesters marching down a Portland street with a sign bearing anti-police and anti-Biden messages.
The videos showed how the anarchists spray painted obscenities like "F*** Biden" on the walls and windows of the office building. You could probably describe this as "golem mentality".

Even in Seattle, Washington, the scene was a disaster:
Antifa and Black Lives Matter protesters joined forces in Seattle to block traffic in the downtown area. A video shows the protesters setting a large fire in close proximity to several commuter buses.

A group of BLM and Antifa posters shut down traffic in downtown Seattle on Wednesday night following the inauguration of President Joe Biden. The KOMO video tweeted by @The_Justice7 shows multiple cars and buses stopped by the protesters as they set a large banner ablaze.

Independent journalist Brendon Gutenschwager tweeted a closer view of the group setting an American flag on fire.

The protesters shouted “No cops, no prisons, total abolition” as they marched through the downtown business district.
The whole west coast of the US is falling apart. And whether or not any of these creepy anarchists voted for Biden, they still don't want him, and his "election" makes no difference to them. They just want to destroy all that was built up in the USA.

Surprise: Boris Johnson sides with Joe Biden

Wouldn't you know it, the UK's pseudo-conservative premier is defending the fraudulently elected US president, and justifying the concept of "wokeness":
Prime Minister Johnson offered an oblique defence of U.S. President Joe Biden when asked if he thought he was “woke”, saying there was “nothing wrong” with that.

Prime Minister Johnson, a notionally conservative politician, made the comments after Lisa Nandy, shadow foreign secretary for the opposition Labour party, had praised Mr Biden, 78, as “a woke guy”.

“[H]e appointed an amazingly strong woman of colour who is also pro-[abortion] as his running mate, he mentioned the trans community in his victory speech, he stood up for the Black Lives Matter protesters, he spoke out about the policing of that movement,” Nandy gushed to the left-wing Guardian newspaper, claiming that the Democrat politician has “never shied away from standing up for his values”.

Asked if he believed Mr Biden was “woke”, the British leader responded awkwardly, insisting that “There’s nothing wrong with being woke” — before adding the long-winded caveat that “what I can tell you is that I think it’s very, very important for everybody to… I certainly put myself in the category of people who believe that it’s important to stick up for your history, your traditions and your values, the things you believe in.”

It is believed that this was a reference to his government’s belated efforts to make it harder for local government officials such as London mayor Sadiq Khan to remove historic monuments to once-celebrated Britons in the wake of the Black Lives Matter disorder that saw many vandalised or even toppled in 2020, with few real consequences for the vandals or their enablers.

Anti-iconoclasm campaigners seemed less than impressed, however, with the Save Our Statues campaign responding to Johnson’s comments saying: “Wrong. Woke is the enemy of our history, traditions and values.”
Exactly. The figure of speech alludes to political correctness, for example. The kind of thing that Biden, previously accused by Tara Reade of molesting her in the early 1990s, is now using to destroy women's privacy rights, along with sports, using transsexual ideology as the tool, based on how LGBT ideology is a protected class. That Kamala Harris as a woman isn't opposing any of this says quite a bit too. But Johnson's long ceased to shock with his phony positions. His jelly-spined directions are just what'll bring down Britain in eventual time, as the way his government handled the Covid19 situation are now.

Haredi leaders have failed on Corona safety

A writer at Israel HaYom points out the Haredi community's failure to maintain responsible standards on dealing with Coronavirus, and it's mainly the fault of the leadership:
A tragic accident occurred at Tel Aviv's Sourasky Medical Center: Moshe Harazi passed away after his ventilator's breathing tube disconnected and medical staff failed to notice in time. The hospital's director, Prof. Ronni Gamzu, took full responsibility for the accident.

This is not the common standard. The leaders of the ultra-Orthodox community in the Knesset have hundreds of coronavirus victims on their hands, and none of them are stepping up to take any responsibility for it. The only thing they do is occasionally call for the community to adhere to lockdown guidelines.

MKs Moshe Gafni, Yaakov Litzman, and Aryeh Deri have proven that when something is important to them, they know how to work and shout. Litzman has resigned twice due to the railway construction on Sabbat and lockdown during the High Holidays. Gafni, a veteran representative of the community, has simply disappeared. And even Deri, who can be defined as the responsible adult, fails to protect the people he represents. They are the mouthpiece of the Haredi sector when it comes to the army, religious conversions, and budgets. Those mouths should be screaming now, calling on the Haredi public to protect themselves.
While the MSM has exaggerated some of the claims that the ultra-Orthodox are responsible for the spread of the virus, they're still not innocent of lacking in terms of safety within their own communities, and their failure to take accountability is only making things worse. As are the Satmar, whose extremists caused another ruckus when police went to one of their schools to shut it down for violations:
Police have arrested 15 extremist ultra-Orthodox protesters in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Ezrat Torah while closing down a school operating in violation of the COVID-19 nationwide lockdown.

The police were attempting to shut down a school belonging to the hardline Satmar hassidic community but were confronted by dozens of violent extremists seeking to impede the operation.

In one incident in the same neighborhood, a rock was thrown at a police patrol vehicle, smashing the passenger window and injuring a policeman in the car, although it is not clear if the incident took place during police efforts to close the Satmar synagogue or separately.

Clearance and closure of the school took some two hours, beginning at 9:00 a.m., during which water cannons were used by the police to disperse protesters.

After police successfully closed the school down, dozens of pupils began to dance together outside the premises of the institution.

Reports have also been made of confrontations between police personnel and extremist ultra-Orthodox protestors from the Jerusalem Faction in Beit Shemesh at a school opened in defiance of the lockdown.

Two protestors have reportedly been detained.

On Tuesday night, police discovered a wedding taking place with several dozen guests in the ultra-Orthodox neighborhood of Ramat Shlomo in the capital, also in violation of the lockdown. The police issued a NIS 1,000 fine to the host of the event and the event hall owner and dispersed the celebration.

In Bnei Brak, Channel 12 News reported that a school which was the scene of a large confrontation between police and ultra-Orthodox protesters on Tuesday was open again for studies on Wednesday.

Following footage taken by the news outlet of pupils entering the school, police arrived to fine the school principal and disperse the pupils.
It's truly sick how the clannists are acting violent over all this, and while keeping out of school obviously won't guarantee they won't get sick, neither will staying in school with the way they approach things. Certainly not if they're refusing to take vaccines.

How the USA became vulnerable to fascism in modern times

Hugh Meyers at the American Thinker explains how the USA became vulnerable to totalitarian mentality:
The US at the national level has been moving toward fascism steadily and deliberately. Democrats and Republicans in Washington endorse big state crony capitalism openly in some cases, and tacitly in others. The trend is accelerating right now due to Covid windfalls that hugely benefit many oligarchs. Today’s fascist oligarchs comprise a formidable array: the deep state of unaccountable bureaucrats, academe, the megalomaniacs of Silicon Valley, Davos elites, Hollywood, Wall Street, big banks, many of the largest corporations, legacy media, some state governors, professional sports, New World Order kleptocrats, some functionaries of both parties.

The oligarchs’ front men in legacy media are partisans. In the US, what on the surface appears to be two party governance is in fact one party, the big state party, with two branches: the pedal to the metal fascists and the drive 55 fascists, the latter renowned for their complicity in private but now exposed thanks to an American president. Their allies in academe have been and are doing everything they can to obscure the evidence, cloud the issues with misdirection and propagandize the young against Western liberalism.

Sadly, most of the people who suffered directly under fascism or who fought against fascist militarism in World War II are not with us anymore. Bulwarks against fascism in this country have weakened with the greatest generation now mostly gone. Recognizing this, the fascist oligarchs have accelerated into their end game. Emboldened by four years of vile obstruction against the first American president in thirty years to take them on, and shielded against consequences by their deep state facilitators, fascists in formerly American states are now showing their true colors behind the cover of Covid with threats against small businesses and churches familiar to those who have studied the black shirts. Nationally, the fascists are in full cry, censoring, cancelling, demonizing, de-platforming, and conspiring to ruin perceived threats to their hegemony.

In The Gathering Storm, Winston Churchill reflected that World War II was one of the most avoidable catastrophes in world history. Time and time again those entrusted with Western governance decided against making a stand against fascism and in favor of what was hailed “peace in our time” then later described as appeasement. The butcher’s bill was enormous.
I do know that anybody who makes a superficial comment like "it couldn't possibly happen in the US" is making an absurd, terrible mistake, being monumentally naive. Especially when you consider how many enemy countries like Iran, Russia and China have proven the capability of building nuclear weapons (although Russia may not be considered as bad as they used to be, any connections they have with the other 2 lands are still worrisome). What anybody who cares should say is that "so long as we remain vigilant realists, the US will remain safe". But by acting naive about the state of the atmosphere in the US, and turning the other cheek when something serious could be going on around the corner or behind the scenes, that's why bad things end up happening, and are entirely capable of occurring.

It's also ill-advised to say, "we're better than anybody else", because that runs the risk of making it sound like everyone else in foreign countries is inferior in every way, shouldn't improve their flaws, and worst, that they can all burn in hell, because the USA is supposedly all you need. To go by such a selfish mentality is dangerous too. What should really be said is, "I wish other foreign countries could and would aspire to be as good in their approach as we could be in ours, and would develop laws and other elements similar to the Constitution that could help them attain as good a standing as ours." That's how you better yourself and inspire trust in others, by proving you're altruistic and want other countries to be safe and prosperous places to live in, and it's regrettable Franklin Roosevelt wasn't that kind of person during the WW2 era.

Now, we've reached a situation where the US appears to have fallen victim to the very ideologies that'll end up destroying it, all because conservatives failed to maintain proper vigilance, and allowed RINOs to infiltrate the movement, making things worse. How that's to be mended, if possible, is anyone's guess.

Trump helped strengthen Israel's claim to facts

Yishai Fleisher, a spokesperson for the Hebron Jewish community globally, makes an excellent point in Newsweek why Donald Trump, as POTUS, helped Israel strenghten their claim on truthfulness:
First was Jerusalem. In 1995, Congress declared that "Jerusalem should be recognized as the capital of the State of Israel." Presidents Clinton, Bush and Obama all continued to sign a waiver of the law, thwarting the will of the American people and blocking this simple and ancient truth. But on December 6, 2017, President Trump announced U.S. recognition and began planning the relocation of the American embassy. The U.S. would no longer tolerate the absurd lie that Jerusalem was not the capital—the very heart—of Israel.

Next was the reversal of the JCPOA, to the relief of Israelis, especially Prime Minister Netanyahu, who has been the world's leading advocate against Iranian aggression. On May 8, 2018, the U.S. officially withdrew from the JCPOA and imposed crippling sanctions on Iran. The lie that the Iranian mullahs' regime was anything other than a leading sponsor of global terrorism was exposed and rejected.

Then there was the Trump administration's frontal attack on endemic anti-Israelism at the UN. The key person here was then-U.S. Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley, who said at AIPAC: "It cannot be the case that in an organization with 193 countries, the United Nations spends half of its time attacking only one country. We will not accept it any longer." She called out the UN's Relief Work Agency, UNRWA—"It cannot be the case that only one set of refugees throughout the world is counted in a way that causes the number to grow forever." And she lambasted the UN's world heritage arm: "UNESCO recently declared one of Judaism's holiest sites, the Tomb of the Patriarchs, as a Palestinian heritage site in need of protection from Israel. That was enough," she said. "Ten months into this administration, the United States withdrew from UNESCO." The truth that the UN is a home for rabid Israel-hate was laid bare for all to see.

Another milestone was the recognition of Jewish rights in Judea—Israel's ancestral heartland. One of my most vivid memories was hearing Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announce that "the Trump administration is reversing the Obama administration's approach towards Israeli settlements. ...The establishment of Israeli civilian settlements in the West Bank is not per se inconsistent with international law." Pompeo subsequently declared that products coming from Jewish communities in Judea (i.e., the "West Bank") would be officially marked as "Made in Israel." The lie that Jews are foreign occupiers in Judea was finally challenged.

Then came the Taylor Force Act, which defunded the Palestinian Authority and their $303 million yearly stipends to terror perpetrators and the families of so-called "martyrs." Similarly, in 2018, President Trump also shut down the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) mission in Washington. The murderous deceptions of PA-PLO were no longer tolerated.

The Dream Team and the Grand Slam

All these lie-busting policies led to the Abraham Accords, the Trump administration's brokered détente between Israel and the Islamic states of the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Sudan and Morocco. This, in turn, debunked the myth that Israel had to cede land to the PLO before there could be any broader regional normalization with the Jewish state. Once the region understood that the U.S. was no longer playing both sides, but was instead simply standing up for what was right, there was an unprecedented regional realignment. As David Weinberg wrote in The Jerusalem Post, the Abraham Accords "will prove to be the [Trump] administration's ultimate foreign policy legacy."
Whether the Biden administration returns to the opposite when it comes to issues like the UN and such, it will not be so easy for them now that some of these policies were established, like the US embassy's move to Jerusalem, and the Abraham Accords. The MSM can try, but they won't be able to obscure these important achievements so easily. Topics like the Abraham Accords will hopefully win out.

Update: see also Dr. Miriam Adelson's thank you to Trump on behalf of Israel.

Trump's farewell address

Before departing the White House, Donald Trump made a final speech about the accomplishments his administration made. Along with the positives he brought about for the USA, he also brought up the accomplishments made in the middle east:
Trump said he was “especially proud to be the first President in decades who has started no new wars” and outlined some of his achievements as President, specifically mentioning the Abraham Accords and his diplomacy in the Middle East.

“We recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and recognized Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights,”
he noted.

“As a result of our bold diplomacy and principled realism, we achieved a series of historic peace deals in the Middle East. Nobody believed it could happen. The Abraham Accords opened the doors to a future of peace and harmony, not violence and bloodshed. It is the dawn of a new Middle East, and we are bringing our soldiers home,” added Trump.
He also noted how blacklisting and censorship are some of the worst things that can happen, alluding to how Twitter and Facebook treated him of recent in a leftist effort to demonize conservatives. It's a terrible shame that now, through fraudulent means, he was robbed of a victory he should've been eligible for, and for all we know, Donald J. Trump may be the USA's last great leader. For now, we should be very grateful to him for the good he brought around.

Many Republican supporters see Biden destined to bring failure

According to a poll World Net Daily's pointed to:
A new poll found Republicans out there – somewhere – who believe that Joe Biden will be "very successful" in his effort to unify the country, as he promised during his campaign.

But not very many, according to the annual Civility Poll commissioned by the Georgetown Institute of Politics and Public Service.

In fact, only 2% had that belief, and not a single Republican thought Biden would be "extremely successful."
And with the huge ideological divide the left's caused, which has led to quite a fracture, that's why failure is only more guaranteed to occur.

Ambassador Friedman worried about Biden administration's return to Iran deal

The Jerusalem Post interviewed US ambassador David Friedman, who's soon leaving his post, and is rightly worried about how Biden and company will approach Iran:
US President-elect Joe Biden’s senior foreign-policy appointments are reason for concern when it comes to the Iran nuclear threat, US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman said in a final interview with The Jerusalem Post before he leaves office on Wednesday.

Regarding the incoming administration, he said: “I am worried about one thing in particular: about Iran.”

Friedman pointed to top Iran deal negotiator Wendy Sherman being tapped as deputy secretary of state, Anthony Blinken as secretary of state and Jake Sullivan as national security advisor, along with former secretary of state John Kerry and ex-national security advisor Susan Rice being appointed to senior posts, all of whom were involved in making the 2015 nuclear deal between Iran and world powers happen.

“The Iran band is back together again,” he said. “You’d have to not be paying attention not to be concerned about Iran, given [their] prominent positions.”
Indeed. They've doubtless continued their nuclear development, and no matter how infected they are with Coronavirus today, it doesn't mean the danger's past. At worst, it's surely increased, and an autocracy as barbaric as Iran's poses a serious danger in its own way. No doubt, what's incoming will prove very awful.

Covid pandemic's closed down some of the LGBT representation on TV

Israel HaYom reported that the Corona pandemic's had an interesting effect on the obsession with LGBT ideology, and shoving it down the throats of audiences via the quotas called for by advocates. That is, it's reversed them to some extent:
LGBTQ and gender inclusiveness on television has retreated slightly this season due to delays and shutdowns caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a new study out Thursday by the advocacy group GLAAD.

The percentage of regularly seen LGBTQ characters on streaming as well as prime-time broadcast TV and cable during the 2020-21 season fell. Prime-time broadcast fell to 9.1% after reaching an all-time high of 10.2% last season. That represents the first decrease since GLAAD's 2013-14 report.

[...] GLAAD's report, "Where We Are on TV," found that 70 out of 773 series regular characters on broadcast scripted prime-time TV were LGBTQ. Last year, those numbers were 90 out of a total of 879 characters. Recurring LGBT characters were also down.

There were also declines in LGBTQ representation on streaming services and prime-time scripted cable shows, triggered in part by production shutdowns of such series as "The L Word," "Euphoria" and "Killing Eve."
Of course, much more than simply these specific programs these ideological lectures for the sake of normalization of an unhealthy practice may have been shut down. But that's hardly what interests these narrow-interest movements, who also demand the following non-stop:
GLAAD is asking the industry to reach 20% representation of LGBTQ regularly seen characters on all three platforms by 2025, and to ensure that half of LGBTQ characters on every TV platform are people of color within the next two years.
Because quotas of this sort are all that matter. They're not "asking" so much as they are demanding. When 20 percent is reached, they'll demand 50 next, and then 100. That's social justice advocacy for you.
"We still do focus on broadcast because that's where a majority of Americans are still taking in and absorbing content. That's still where the majority of Americans might meet their first gay person or transgender person or bisexual person for the first time," Ellis said.
And this is little more than pointless lecturing. Mainly because it's largely pushed as a "positive" influence, even at the expense of women, by the way. I'd once noticed while watching various old TV shows in the past decade that a lesbian was more likely to be depicted as a criminal than a male homosexual, proving a form of male supremacy has had some influence over the years on which gender can be depicted as criminals in a police show, for example, and how (21 Jump Street was one example of this bias). If the pandemic's having a reversing effect of all this SJW propaganda on TV, it's for the best. The question is whether most showbiz producers have what it takes to recognize why, when the pandemic is over, they'd do well to avoid hammering away with ideology if that's what it takes to regain fortune. But I have a sad feeling they won't.

Update: since we're on the subject, The Federalist warned about the incoming Biden administration going to extremes to force schools to kneel before transgender ideology. There is one thing that may require some skepticism though, based on what religion is mentioned:
The LGBT organization Human Rights Campaign recently made policy recommendations to the Biden administration that included pulling federal funds from all faithful Christian, Muslim, and Jewish institutions by banning their beliefs through the accreditation process. If a school is not accredited, its students may not benefit from the GI bill, transfer credits, or apply for graduate study, noted Southern Baptist Theological Seminary leader Al Mohler.
As a matter of fact, it's far more likely that Islam would be given exemptions from all this indoctrination, and besides, Islam is already indoctrinating for the worse as it is, in its own way. Let's remember that already, Biden intends to reestablish the "deal" with Iran.

All that aside, if parents really want to protect their children from this indoctrination, they have to demonstrate against it at rallies, something most don't seem to do, if at all. That's the weakness that enabled much of this LGBT propaganda to become entrenched.

Muslim interlopers continue to enter Britain despite Corona travel lockdown

Boris Johnson's government continues to journey the heights of hypocrisy with their so-called ban on travel to and from the UK, a response to continuing Corona infection crises:
Thirty-six illegal boat migrants were brought ashore by the UK Border Force on Saturday, just one day after Boris Johnson shut down travel to Britain amidst fears of new mutant strains of the Chinese coronavirus.

Brexit leader Nigel Farage shared footage of some of the illegal migrants arriving in the country after they sailed from France across the English Channel on Saturday.

Mr Farage wrote on social media: “The travel corridors are closed today, but one remains very much open. 30 more illegal migrants into Dover again this morning.”

The Home Office revealed that the actual number of illegals that landed was in fact 36, while claiming that French authorities stopped an additional 27 from reaching British territorial waters, the Daily Mail reported.

So far this year, over 200 boat migrants have landed in Britain, despite the British officially ending its informal “transition” membership of the EU at the beginning of the year.
Proving again that the departure from the EU is otherwise a farce, if they can't protect the country from Islamic invaders. Some of whom likely were involved in recent gang fights in Manchester. And most of whom are unlikely to be deported, if at all. So what's the point of telling us French authorities stopped more from coming when those who did won't be turned away?

I figured the Haredi communities were leading in Corona cases

Some government ministers have discussed extensions of the lockdown due to infection surges in Haredi communities, even more than in Arabic ones:
The government will be asked to decide on an extension to the current coronavirus lockdown later in the week, as the infection rate in ultra-Orthodox communities continues to soar.

As COVID-19 infections spread rapidly among Haredi and Arab communities, some members of the coalition were demanding to know how mitigation orders were being enforced.

[...] The average positivity rate in the ultra-Orthodox sector is 19%, in the Arab sector it stands at 15% while in the non-religious Jewish sector only 5.5% of all tests for coronavirus returned a positive result.

The ultra-Orthodox West Bank settlement of Beitar Illit showed a 29% positivity rate of all tests last week, up from 28% the previous week with 1,274 new COVID-19 cases identified.

Elad, a Haredi city in the center of Israel, showed a rise of positive tests to 23%, up from 18% the previous week with 1,007 new cases confirmed.

The ultra-Orthodox West Bank settlement of Modi'in Illit also showed an increase in its positivity rate, with 20% of tests returning a positive result - up from 18.5% the week before. Out of the 78,000 residents of the settlement, 2,393 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed.

Israel largest Haredi city Bnei Brak has also seen an increase in positive results of coronavirus testing, with a 19% positivity rate - up from 15% the previous week and with 3,202 new virus patients identified.

Jerusalem continues to lead the country with active case counts, with one out of five of all COVID-19 patients living in the capital. In the past week alone, the city's positivity rate rose from 15% to 17% with 10,250 new cases confirmed.
It goes without saying this is an embarrassment, particularly in light of how some gurus have called on their followers to take the vaccines (which, in fact, I did today). Does this mean they're no longer taking their advice, no matter how good this time, or some of the more insular ones are going the opposite route? It certainly doesn't bode well in their neighborhoods, that's for sure.

Algerian Muslim who refused kosher delivery orders to be deported from France

Here's an incident in France where, if they follow through with this properly, they're doing the right thing:
A court in eastern France convicted a delivery driver of anti-Semitic discrimination on Thursday for refusing to take orders for kosher food, and Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin said the Algerian man would be deported after he completes his prison sentence.

The conviction in the city of Strasbourg came two days after a regional Jewish institution, the Israelite Consistory of the Bas-Rhin region, said two kosher restaurants had reported that drivers working for Deliveroo refused to handle their food because they didn't want to deliver to Jews.

The group and restaurants filed a legal complaint, the consistory said Tuesday, denouncing what it called "openly anti-Semitic discrimination." Only one deliverer was ultimately involved in the court action.

The interior minister tweeted that the Algerian man, who was in France illegally, had been convicted and handed a four-month prison sentence.

"I decided to expel from the national territory the food 'deliverer'...who said he did not want to handle deliveries to Jewish clients," Darmanin wrote.
So it even turns out he was in the country illegally anyway. In any event, this is exactly what should be done with even the worse offenders littering up Europe.

Mexican president Obrador is troubled by anti-Trump censorship

Mexico's left-leaning president Andres Obrador, of all people, is disturbed by the censorship social media companies imposed on Donald Trump:
Left-wing Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador reportedly vowed to take on tech companies on Thursday in response to the bans that President Donald Trump has faced on social media.

“I can tell you that at the first G20 meeting we have, I am going to make a proposal on this issue,” López Obrador said. “Yes, social media should not be used to incite violence and all that, but this cannot be used as a pretext to suspend freedom of expression.”

“How can a company act as if it was all powerful, omnipotent, as a sort of Spanish Inquisition on what is expressed?” López Obrador asked.

López Obrador’s Foreign Relations Secretary Marcelo Ebrard said that Mexico has already started the work of getting other nations involved in the effort, including “officials in France, Germany, the European Union, Africa, Latin America and Southeast Asia,” The Associated Press reported.

“Given that Mexico, through our president, has spoken out, we immediately made contact with others who think the same,” Ebrard said. “The president’s orders are to make contact with all of them, share this concern and work on coming up with a joint proposal. We will see what is proposed.”
Well let's hope those contacted really are concerned. It looks like Jack Dorsey's steps have backfired (see also this report), and now, there's opposition to censorship coming out from places where you may never have expected it. This is amazing.

Conservatives ignoring corporate leftism are only ensuring further failure

Daniel Greenfield at Front Page Magazine's written about how leftist corporatism wound up censoring conservatives in any way possible, and what could be done about it:
The battle for the corporation, unlike academia and the media, isn’t a lost cause. But it actually needs to be fought. And one of the best tools for that fight is duplicating the Left’s infrastructure for monitoring the interactions between politicians and corporate interests, and demanding that the politicians represent conservatives, not just their campaign war chests, with corporations.
That's an idea crucial to consider in many businesses. Expect a certain form of loyalty from your partners and employees, and then you can accomplish something.

Macaulay Culkin shuns the guy who had a cameo in one of his movies

Look who the latest former Hollywooder is to take a politically correct/Orwellian view of Donald Trump, to the point where he condones editing him out of the 2nd Home Alone movie (which wasn't even set in Chicago):
Macaulay Culkin publicly backed a petition Wednesday to have U.S. President Donald Trump excised from Home Alone 2: Lost In New York.

[...] That single 10-second exchange has been enough to excite fans of the movie and led to previous calls for it to be altered.

Now Culkin has entered the fray
.

After a fan tweeted: ‘Petition to digitally replace trump in “home alone 2” with 40-year-old macaulay culkin.’ Macaulay, 40, simply replied: “Sold.”

Another fan of the smash hit 1992 movie soon shared a video of [what] the famous scene would look like without Trump’s cameo “due to popular request.” It got the seal of approval from Macaulay who cheered: “Bravo.”

Culkin’s endorsement of the movie alteration is the latest call for the president to be “disappeared.”

As Breitbart News reported, Donald Trump Jr. called the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) “absolutely pathetic” for cutting his father’s cameo scene from its broadcast of the film in 2019.
And now Culkin's made things worse by announcing, in the simplest of words, that he has no faith or admiration of his own film. Which, to be honest, hasn't aged so well anyway, due to the late filmmaker John Hughes recycling the formula ad nauseam over several years in more movies that made his previous teen-oriented fare look far superior by contrast. I guess those paychecks made all the difference to Culkin, who was, after all, too young at the time to care about artistic value. Now, he's just another liberal buffoon who can't avoid politics like some of his predecessors did. This is only bound to discourage some film buffs from bothering to watch his resume again.

Update: I'd long forgotten about this, but almost 2 decades ago, Culkin reportedly ran afoul of drugs, one more reason why whatever he thinks is ultimately irrelevant.

Antisemitism continues to run rampant on Twitter's platform

Anti-racism activists are rightfully outraged at the levels of antisemitism still allowed on Twitter:
A group of anti-racism activists earlier this week staged a protest outside the home of Jack Dorsey, the CEO of Twitter, accusing him of failing to root out anti-Semitism and Holocaust deniers from his social media platform.

Activists from the "End Jew Hatred" movement, accused Dorsey of double standards when it comes to banning accounts that spread "misinformation" on "politics, the pandemic, or other issues".

"But when users on his platform spread harmful lies about the systematic murder of 6 million Jews, he does nothing,”
the movement said in a statement.
So in the leftist minds of the company execs, it's acceptable to get rid of Trump, yet antisemitic racists can be tolerated. But then, Twitter's fortunes on the stock market have been plummeting lately by over $5 billion, so hopefully, people are beginning to realize why it's just not worth the bother as a social media site.

Vaccination drive is reducing risk of Corona infections

More good news regarding the efforts to vaccinate as much of Israel's population as possible:
Israeli research shows that the coronavirus vaccine made by Pfizer not only protects those vaccinated from contracting COVID-19, it also helps to prevent immune people from spreading the disease to others.

The question of whether the vaccine would help prevent those who had received it from still being carriers was a key issue as the inoculations were rolled out across the world.

Clinical research conducted by Israel's largest health fund Clalit showed a significant drop in infections among 200,000 people aged 60 and over two weeks after the first vaccinations were given. Not all of the 200,000 people involved in the research had received the vaccination.

Prof. Ran Balicer, head of innovation at Clalit, says that there is no visible effect on general infection rates for days 5 to 12 after the first dose of the two-stage vaccination is administered.

According to the data, there was a slight fall in morbidity on day 13, but by day 14 there was a 33% drop in the spread of the disease between those who were vaccinated and those who were not.
Yes, that's promising, and a good thing that'll help in the long run. Thank goodness vaccines were developed as speedily as they were.

Sheldon Adelson, RIP

The Jewish millionaire luxury resort and casino builder who was a staunch Israel supporter died at 87 years of age:
Sheldon Adelson, who rose from selling newspapers on Boston street corners at age 12 to one of the most successful luxury resort developers, philanthropists and political influencers of his generation, died Monday night at his home in Malibu, California. He was 87.

[...] Adelson's conservative values, love for the United States and Israel, and his desire to preserve the strongest diplomatic and cultural ties possible between the nations compelled him to embrace and support Jewish causes. He became one of America's most influential political megadonors, contributing hundreds of millions of dollars to Republican candidates and conservative PACs over the past two decades.

Adelson also was unfailingly loyal to the thousands of people he employed.

After the coronavirus pandemic forced Nevada casinos to shutter in March 2020, Adelson continued providing full pay and benefits to all 10,000 Las Vegas Sands Corp. employees and the 1,200 employees working in the resorts' 14 independently operated restaurants throughout the closure.

Sheldon Adelson was a unique combination: a philanthropist, a devout Zionist, and a true fighter for Israel, and a person who was wholeheartedly determined to safeguard the future of the Jewish people.

[...] Every young Jew knows about Taglit-Birthright, which has brought hundreds of thousands of Jews on a 10-day tour to Israel thanks to the hundreds of millions of dollars Adelson gave through his foundation.

He also played a major role in establishing new faculties and schools in Israeli academia, expanding their access to many Israelis, including a new medical school at the Ariel University of Samaria. He was also one of the main donors to Israel's leading first-responder organization Magen David Adom and the national Holocaust memorial, Yad Vashem.
Here's also his wife Miriam's statement, and another article about him from Alan Dershowitz. One of Adelson's most important accomplishments was getting Jerusalem recognized as Israel's capitol, and the US embassy moved there. He did a lot of good when he was around, and for that, should be highly honored.

Update: here's also Shmuley Boteach's tribute to Adelson. And another one by Noah Pollak in the Wash. Free Beacon.

Haredi extremists injure 3 policemen in their defiance of Corona lockdown

The Jerusalem Faction, as it's called, originally founded by an extremist Haredi socialist, caused chaos in Ashdod:
Six Ashdod yeshiva students from the extremist ultra-Orthodox Jerusalem Faction group were arrested following clashes with mounted police officers on Monday.

Police arrived at the scene on Monday afternoon following reports that the Ashdod-based haredi yeshiva had broken coronavirus regulations by remaining open during Israel's nationwide lockdown.

They were called in by municipality supervisors who were being attacked at the scene.

By the time the protests ended on Monday evening, 11 individuals were arrested for disorderly conduct. Three police officers were injured during the clashes, in which hundreds of students participated. The officers were treated at the scene.

The radical Bnei Torah haredi faction said in a statement that the ultra-Orthodox population was "terrified to hear" about the police's "criminal" attempt to close the yeshiva, insisting on the legal right of the yeshiva to remain open, as it houses a dormitory.

The school was open and teaching students in violation of the current government guidelines. Students who placed themselves on the road in protest were dragged away by officers.

Meanwhile, in Modi'in Illit, similar protests took place. Dozens of ultra-Orthodox protesters confronted police when they tried to locate the head of a local Talmud Torah school after reports came in of dozens of students on the premises, according to N12.
What the students and such did was offensive, of course. A good way to make it difficult for them to operate their yeshivas, though, could be to cut off electricity and water systems for the building, and I wish such measures could be enacted as penalties for failure to comply with guidelines already.

And this wasn't the only disturbing incident with Haredi extremists this week. Another incident took place today in Beit Shemesh where an officer had to fire a warning shot after being threatened:
Police officers were pelted with stones Tuesday morning as they arrived at an independent Haredi school in Beit Shemesh that was open despite the government-mandated closure of all academic institutions during the current lockdown.

The volunteer police officer who was accompanying the law enforcement officials fired his gun into the air outside the Talmud Torah school in the Belz community.

Israel Police said the volunteer fired into the air as he believed his life was in danger. There were no casualties in the incident and police reinforcements were called to the scene.

According to the police, as the police officer was trying to locate the director of the educational institution, a crowd began to gather around the volunteer who was standing next to their car and began hurling stones at him.

The police officers left the scene without being able to have the school closed.
Well again, this is why a good way to crack down on these particular thugs would be to cut off their electrical and water connections. That way they can send a message better.

Significant progress made in Israel with vaccinations against Corona

There's been impressive progress made to vaccinate as much of the Israeli populace as possible against the effects of Covid19, and that includes whatever medicines are arriving now:
Some 700,000 doses of Pfizer’s coronavirus vaccine landed in Israel on Sunday and were met at Ben-Gurion Airport by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Health Minister Yuli Edelstein.

“This is a great day for Israel, with a huge shipment that has arrived in the framework of Operation Back to Life: a plane full of injections of encouragement,” Netanyahu said, informing the public that next Sunday an additional shipment would arrive, “and we will start vaccinating the next group: people aged 50-60.”

According to the agreement between Israel and Pfizer, the company will deliver tens of thousands of doses to Israel every week until every Israeli who wants to be inoculated has been jabbed.

To get this done, the prime minister said that the country would increase the number of people vaccinated per day to 170,000 beginning immediately. Coronavirus Commissioner Prof. Nachman Ash said later that the goal was to vaccinate as many as 200,000 people per day – some with their first dose and some with their second.

“Tonight, we will sit down with the health funds and prepare for the next stage of the vaccination campaign,” Edelstein said.

“I am certain that our amazing medical teams… will get this done,” Netanyahu added.

The announcement came on the same day the Health Ministry announced that more than 72% of Israelis over the age of 60 had been vaccinated against the virus and that Edelstein said he had met with his staff and instructed them to evaluate the possibility of offering vaccinations throughout the night.
I do wonder why Naftali Bennett doesn't appreciate this, to name but one phony who calls himself "right-wing"? In fact, what about Gideon Saar? Those two should be as ashamed of themselves as those on the left (Yair Lapid, Moshe Yaalon, for example) who refuse to appreciate the effort made to provide everyone possible with vaccinations so they can return to leading normal lives again and not have to worry about this terrible pandemic again for a long time. The vaccination drive Netanyahu is working on is something that should be applauded.

Arnold Schwartzenegger has sickened me

It's been reported that the former "actor" who later became governor of California, and is quite a RINO himself, has compared the vast majority of protestors in Washington DC to nazis without making any distinctions between GOP supporters and Antifa/BLM:
Anti-Trump Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger has compared the rioters who stormed Capitol Hill last week to the rise of Nazis in his native Austria, saying that the event calls to mind Kristallnacht, the pogrom against Jews in 1938.

He added that President Trump “will go down in history as the worst president ever” and accused members of the Republican party of “spinelessness” for supporting the commander in chief.
I think this says all we need to know what Arnold thinks of Trump recognizing Jerusalem as Israel's capitol. Also notice here that he has nothing to say about security officials taking the life of Ashli Babbitt at the time.
Schwarzenegger revealed that his father, guilt-ridden over Austria’s role in the war, would come home drunk and frequently beat his wife in front of the kids.

“So being from Europe, I’ve seen firsthand how things can spin out of control,” he said. “I know there is fear in this country and all over the world that something like this could happen here.”
If this is supposed to be some kind of analogy, it's very poor. Spousal abuse is offensive, and certainly if the wife was innocent of any involvement with the National Socialists.
He concluded: “President-elect Biden, we stand with you today, tomorrow, and forever!”

Schwarzenegger has not publicly condemned the widespread destruction caused by Black Lives Matter and Antifa rioters, who caused an estimated $2 billion worth of property damage in cities across the country last year.
And with the way things are going, there's bound to be a billion bucks more in skyrocketing damages in several areas around the US. Schwarzenegger does not speak for me when he discusses Kristallnacht, and has made it harder for me to feel encouraged to watch his movies of the past, now that he's taking up such a forced role of a Never Trumper. Arnold turns out to be quite terrible.

Simon & Schuster censors Josh Hawley book

Breitbart reports that Missouri senator Josh Hawley has been shunned by Simon & Schuster publishing, all in order to follow the PC brigade's narrative that's been commonplace this past decade:
Publishing giant Simon & Schuster canceled U.S. Sen. Josh Hawley’s (R-MO) book Thursday after he participated in a constitutional effort to challenge the 2020 election results.
And this was despite his condemning violence that took place at Congress the past week:
“The violence must end, those who attacked police and broke the law must be prosecuted, and Congress must get back to work and finish its job,” he said.
He intends to go to court about this breach of contract by the publisher, one of several once prominent US companies now owned by foreign sources (in this case, a German business). For now, it's a terrible shame that here, we have another example of astonishing cancel culture, censorship and other stupefying acts of communism taking place as the US continues on a crumbling path in the modern age. Something which was sadly bound to happen.

What role did Antifa play in infiltrating the march in Washington DC?

Israel National News has an op-ed about Antifa's apparent infiltration into the GOP supporters who were arriving at Capitol Hill, and made things a lot worse than need be:
Did Antifa play a role in the storming of Capitol Hill?

Many people do not want people to ask this question, claiming that it is ill-timed given everything that has happened in recent days. Others claim that any claim that Antifa played a role in the storming of the Capitol building is nothing short of a right-wing conspiracy, spread by a group of crazies led by President Trump. Even prominent American journalist Andy Ngo, who has done excellent work exposing Antifa, told the Washington Examiner: “The people occupying the Capitol building do not look like antifa people dressed in Trump gear or Trump costumes. I have seen no evidence that they are able to coordinate a mass infiltration on this scale before, so I’m really skeptical that they would have been able to do it here without any of that information leaking out.”

However, there have been reports in social media telling a different story. Before the storming of the Capitol building, there are unconfirmed reports that an Antifa member tweeted: “Antifa comrades! On November 4, don’t forget to disguise yourself as patriots/Trump supporters: Wear mega hats, use US flags, 3%er insignia, a convincing police uniform is even better. This way, policemen and patriots responding to us won’t know who their enemies are, and the media will think Trump supporters are rioting, so it is harder to turn popular opinion against us.”

Some social media users claim that some of the people who stormed Capitol Hill had tattoos that indicated that they had Stalinist sympathies and they also wore black backpacks, which gave away that they were not really Trump supporters. According to one counter-terror expert, who prefers not to be named, “Some Antifa were seen bussed in and were escorted by the police, who allowed their demos to happen just fine. Antifa also got into buildings and the news will focus on those Antifa who happen to be wearing Trump hats on backwards as a symbol to each other.”

According to a report in the Washington Times, a retired military officer claimed “the firm XRVision used its software to do facial recognition of protesters and matched two Philadelphia Antifa members to two men inside the Senate. XRVision also has identified another man who, while not known to have Antifa links, is someone who shows up at climate and Black Lives Matter protests in the West Coast.”

It is critical to note that Antifa seeks to destroy the United States of America, as we know it today. The breakdown of law and order is their stated objective. At their rallies, they chant: “No more USA at all.” The storming of the US Capitol Building encourages divisiveness and thus helps America to dissolve from within. Thus, they have every incentive to encourage unrest on Capitol Hill.
The saddest part of this whole affair is that the descent into socialist-influenced madness was bound to happen, due in part to a tragic failure by conservatives to make a vigorous effort to defend cohesive values whereever needed, not to mention preventing rotten apples like Bush senior and junior from taking up the POTUS role they were unqualified for, due to the political correctness they upheld. A political correctness that practically led to Trump's sad ouster. Now, we have a dire situation where the anarchy represented by Antifa has led to the wrong crowd taking over in the White House, and will likely appease the awful movement almost to the max.

Democrats tolerated riots prior to being against them

Daniel Greenfield at Front Page Magazine points out the offensive double-standard the Democrats went by when it came to Antifa and Black Lives Matter riots as opposed to what they think of alleged rioting by conservative groups (and it turns out a lot of the troublemaking appears to have been caused by Antifa infiltrators):
In 2018, the media was writing up glowing stories about the hundreds of Women’s March members who were engaging in "direct action” to disrupt the Senate’s Kavanaugh hearings.

Hundreds of members from the radical leftist group had invaded the hearings and were arrested. Their travel expenses and bail for the disruptions were covered by the Women’s March. Radicals from the March and other leftist groups blocked hallways, shouted down Senate members, and draped protest banners from balconies. Democrats cheered them on.

When a leftist mob assailed the Supreme Court, pounding on the doors, MSNBC called it an “extraordinary moment” and praised the crowd, “besieging the Supreme Court” and “confronting senators”.

"If you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd. And you push back on them," Rep. Maxine Waters had urged earlier that year.

Later, the Democrat House member told MSNBC, "They’re going to absolutely harass them".

In 2020, Black Lives Matter rioters vandalized the Lincoln Memorial and the WW2 Memorial, along with statues of Gandhi, General Kosciuszko, and Andrew Jackson. The racist thugs marched through the city starting fires, including at a historic church, and tried to besiege the White House. Attempts by federal law enforcement to fight BLM terrorism were falsely denounced as a brutal attack on “peaceful protesters”, and as “militarism” and “fascism”.

Democrat House members took to proposing bills to protect the racist mobs from law enforcement. Meanwhile the BLM mob besieged the White House and battled Secret Service personnel, allegedly forcing the evacuation of President Trump and his family to a bunker.

This was the new normal enthusiastically supported by Democrats and the media.
While Ghandi was really an evil man, if you look at his history, it's clear the BLM rioters weren't doing it because of his own dark past, but rather, for the sport of destruction for destruction's sake (and let's not forget that BLM committed violence in the name of Jason Blake, who'd been charged with sexual assault). This is absolutely awful in hindsight.

Since we're on the subject, here's more about the Antifa infiltration into pro-Trump circles:
Before the elected representatives could make that decision, protesters stormed the Capitol, evacuated amid scenes of violence. Author Paul Sperry, formerly with Investor’s Business Daily, tweeted, “Former FBI agent on the ground at U.S. Capitol just texted me and confirmed that at least 1 ‘bus load’ of Antifa thugs infiltrated peaceful Trump demonstrators as part of a false Trump flag ops.” That sparked little interest from media and representatives, particularly Democrats, who blamed Trump supporters, and by implication the president.
Not only is this unlikely to be brought up in discussions going forward in the MSM, the investigation into Hunter Biden's crooked deeds will surely disappear as well. It's all part of a very sad ending to the Trump administration.

Update: see also Caroline Glick's column on what's to come. There may be at least one thing in here that's sloppy, but much of what she tells is very spot on, not the least being the lurid shift to political correctness that's occurring in the USA now.

Imposing financial sanctions on the Haredis will be more effective in getting them to cooperate more

A writer at Israel HaYom tells what the best way is to get the insular Haredi communities to cooperate properly with authorities when it comes to keeping healthy to avoid Corona illness:
The only solution is to deny the Haredi community budgets and fine them for violations. IN the first lockdown, when fines for breaking rules were more substantial, many Haredi school principals ran to their rabbis for permission to close the institutions.

Why should the Haredim allow the government to impose fines and deny budgets? Because if they do not, they will continue to clash with police and will end up with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the Opposition, which will see the funds allocated to them by the government shrink much more considerably.
Oh, indeed, they'd better make sure they don't sabotage Netanyahu's electoral chances, or even a successor's chances in the Knesset, because the MSM exploits every chance they see for bringing down a politician they hate, as happened with Donald Trump this week, and the gurus of the ultra-Orthodox actually seem quite fine with causing the better politicians all the trouble that could've been avoided, while ignoring the perils of Islamofascism. That's one of the reasons why the Haredis should have their funding cut down as punishment for all the trouble they've caused. Could this be why they've been struck so hard by Coronavirus?

Antifa continues to antagonize Ted Wheeler as much as the rest of Portland

As seen in the video clip provided by Andy Ngo, and commentary at Pajamas Media, it seems Antifa hoodlums went after Portland's far-left mayor Ted Wheeler while he was at a restaurant, and reportedly, he was assaulted soon after. The saddest part is that he probably won't reevaluate his liberal politics and realize they're exactly what enabled the anarchists to come about in the first place. And that's why Oregon as a state is bound to collapse even further.
